I'm trying to make one of those lets play videos, but how do you get a separate video(of the person playing) in the corner of the gameplay? What software do I need?

I think you need to record yourself with a webcam and edit the footage. But maybe there's software to record games and from your webcam at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, the Livestream Procaster can record cam and game at the same time. Not sure if you actually have to stream to record it though.

I was playing the first one and got to around level 36, then a black shadow passed me then I wimped out and closed the game.

A mode similar to gm_ghosthunt could work, one player watches the camera feeds while the others just go in and find scary shit.

I've never heard of that, how does it work? Is it like, the person watching the monitors sees the scary shit, but the person who's actually exploring doesn't? That sounds really interesting.

In that gamemode everyone sees the scary shit, you can choose to be a douche and let others do the dirty work while you watch through the cameras they're holding. IIRC the cameras sometimes turn red, indicating paranormal activity.

Only we have an SNPC actively hunting players, and which SNPC it is is randomly generated.
The players would have to catch this SNPC. If all players are killed, the SCP Foundation loses. Alternatively, the SNPC could be replaced by a player, but what qualities they have are still random.
Being an ideas guy is fun.

Some guy's actually making a full-fledged SCP game with more SCP's than just 087. As of now it's featuring 173 and 107 and looking to be pretty good.

I can see it now: Last one alive wins, try to eliminate the other players by strategically blinking while trying to stay alive. It strikes me as less of a skill thing than a luck game though.

Im not good at hammer, but i really enjoy doing something with it and seeing my work when im bored.
Somebody suggest me an SCP to work on? Dont expect it to be anything even near good though. Actually, dont even expect it to be released.
It would be a Gmod map with a gamemode, if i manage to figure out how to make one.
I will not be making any custom models or textures.
