Game Programming Competition #5
[SUP][SUB]I think we're up to 5[/SUB][/SUP]
We decided that Arcade is a pretty nifty theme and will go with that, it means you can make a pretty basic game and focus on all aspects of it. Arcade means getting high scores, leaderboards and no stories - easy. Your challenge is to make something which has a clear running theme - as Arcade games do - to make it fun, there is no need to make it 'authentic' looking or sounding.
Useful Other Stuff
Theme - Did it fit the theme of Arcade games or did it drift off into random areas?
Fun - Was it fun or did you paint a wall and watch it dry?
Gameplay - Was it playable or were the controls like a mentally disabled house cat?
Art - Was it beautiful or like looking at a man throw up all over himself?
Overall - Overall was it effective or just another video game?
