pretty much every other scene in that VN is a sex scene. On top of that, if you watch the opening CG the entire thing is spoiled. It's a self-spoiling VN. It had some good points, but overall I wouldn't read it again.

I thought it was pretty okay, completed 2 out of 3 paths and both were pretty touching.
The fairy path was kind of messed up though in terms of her being a cockhungry drug addict

The idea seems good so far, but I think the translator was retarded.
The story really seems like it deviates from the art and music every now and then.

Was I the only one who thought Yoh's rape scene was horrible? it was anticlimactic as hell, I was laughing my ass off by the time she texted her "I like your breasts". I mean, i can understand it being a joker-like moment, with the creepy black humor and with Saya wanting to experience what the painter experienced, but the whole thing reeked of trashy hentai

I wouldn't even be able to compare Katawa Shoujo to Yume Miru Kusuri.
One actually shows greater depth and softer approach to characters, while another features an entire cast of unlikable characters safe for the main girls. Even so, the main girls are pretty fucking retarded, since their problems could easily be solved if they weren't so god damn stupid.

I disagree, seriously, the problems in Katawa Shoujo were way more close to reality than those in Yume Miru Kusuri.

These are just extremely silly. I can't relate to any single of the stories in Yume. Sure, it might be entertaining at parts, but the characters are SO annoying.

KS definitely had more realistic writing to it. I've only finished one path in YMK, but it seems completely unbelievable at times.
Then again, I have seen on the news a few times where a group of girls will pick on another and push her to suicide. Makes it a bit more believable, but still kinda far fetched.

the entire school doesn't bully her, it's a small group of like 8 people and everyone else stands by and doesn't get involved because they're looking out for themselves first and they know what would happen if they got involved. The teacher isn't in on the trick, he appears legitimately ignorant of the situation.

I only just finished Yukinon's route and it's already got an 8-9/10 from me but I'm a total sucker when it comes to the type of comedy present in it.
Heh, glad I'm not the only one who thought that there should be an anime.

It has lovable and distinguishable characters, and it could follow a Clannad-isch storyline, in where it takes parts from each route and takes one ending, like Yukino's.
But fuck, I wanna see Ell's Cat ear scene , so I hope it would be her route.

You've read the entirety of all 3 arcs, right?
Aeka's situation was a little more farfetched, yet you still have to keep in mind that this is japan we're talking about. From what i've read online (not very much) bullying in japan is a little different than it is in most other countries. Typically a teacher doesn't give a fuck what happens, believing that the student should take care of their own problems. You could tell that a large majority of the class wanted to do something about Aeka at one point or another, but didn't want to make themselves a target of the bullying themselves.
Nekoko was a timid girl who hated her life, and wanted to become the life of the party. She wanted to be vibrant and colourful, so she turned drugs in order to loosen up and become nekoko. Because drug dealers occasionally give "first-time discounts" to new buyers in order to get them hooked on it, nekoko started to get in over her head and built up an immunity to the drug.
Kimiyama felt like she had no future for herself. No motivation to do anything, no passion for anything. She was completely depressed and sought dangerous activities to live life to the fullest. She also wanted to try and become pregnant because "I have this womb, might as well use it for something", so she tried to have unprotected sex as often as possible.
In the end it's basically just 3 stories about girls who hate their lives and want to change them, but cope with their problems in the worst possible ways.
I had very little problems with the actual stories, it just had far too much sex in it. Yet all of the stories wrap up nicely if you get the good endings, at least I believe they do.
And in japan it's fairly common to take baths with your siblings up to a certain age.
