they made him shorter so that the bullet will miss his head this time
Guys, I don't know if this has been stated, but I've been saying this for months before the "Tobor" thing. They provided a canon excuse for the replay feature being added (something about secret cameras filming them) so maybe they are just going to give a canon excuse for the existence of the bot feature. Perhaps that would explain why there are two of each person, one for each team. They could even make a reference to how in the censored version clocks and gears and springs (amongst other shit) fly out of you.
does anyone know what the damageplayer hud event it?
Or maybe, the Pyro is руссиан !
It's nothing interesting. It's to help custom HUD makers.
I don't even know why they put it in. There already was two ways of notifying when damage was done: Hit sounds and damage numbers, that can be placed everywhere on the HUD.
It's being used to create animations when you hit a player, the main one being HUD crosshairs changing colour when you damage someone else.
Blue team is kept alive by that wierd life machine, starting with Blutarch and running down to the classes like a pyramid.
Red team is ro-boT(s). Kept alive by electricity.
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. (I HOPE.)
VVV Yeah, but the RED team is usually depicted as the winners. Thus robots.
So I had an odd dream last night.
It was really detailed, I woke up, sat down at my computer and went on TF2.com like I usually do to check if there was any news while I was sleeping.
Well low and behold, there's a banner "The Arson Update: Day 1!" and the banner said "Featuring Doe's Dumpster Devices set and new decals!"
Basically day one went through Soldier's dumpster set, everything was in except the horn, which was replaced with the shotgun instead. They didn't have stats though, just names, and I don't remember any of the names but they were different than the ones submitted.
Under these new Soldier weapons was a bunch of images of old items with decals on them. The Buff Banner had a new style with stickers on it, the Football helmet had a decal on it now, and there were a handful of new decalable items, including that skateboard from the workshop.
I remember the whole thing looks really ugly. They used a terrible brownish orange as the background color, and everything had a very 1960s office theme. The posters for the decal stuff was on a corkboard for example.
Then I woke up, excited to play with the update. Then I realized it was the Dumpster pack, so it must have all been a dream. Then I went back to sleep.
ALL HAIL THE MESSIAH, THE ONE CHOSEN TO WEAR THE HAT OF DESTINY AND SEE THROUGH THE MISC ITEM OF TIME!
Now I want to go to bed and see Day 2
By the end of the week I will have seen what bizarre creation Meet the Pyro is in my head
Ned you should have prophetic dreams more often.
Now I've got the mental image of the worm from ned's avatar hunched over a crystal ball saying things like "I forsee... (eyes roll back in head) SOLDIER ITEMS. DECAL-ABLE SOLIDER ITEMS." Really wish I could draw.
Only like five people are going to get this joke and the rest of the people will rate me dumb.
It's funny to me. ;_;
I kind of want stickers on my buff banner now
Decalable Killer Exclusive would be amazing (the little paper part).
Probably the only soldier pack my brain knows off the top of its head.
Found this from the steam forums
One of the secret numbers in foundry has been changed.
Speculations what this could mean?
You're quite a bit late on that.
I clicked play on the meet the video, and saw it on a western styled map. It pans up to reveal what is apparantly a RED base. Inside, they're looking at a table and debating about something. What you can make out is things like "TOBOR" and "Raid".
Just then, an alarm goes off, and the team rushes out to see Pyro rushing back to base, followed by a small army of robotic classes, each one saying catchphrases in mechanical tones.
Suddenly, Pyro turns around and taunts to the music, rallying the team, before setting ablaze everything in his path. As the others are shown fighting robotic counterparts of themselves.
As this goes on, Pyro starts lighting up the entire base, causing everyone to evacuate. It ends with Pyro standing over the base in the distance, watching the inferno.
It cuts to black. "Introducing: RAID MODE".
Then i woke up. Bloody dreams.
I wouldn't be surprised if whatever the new "thing" is will still be called Raid Mode.
No one needs to know the idea it was to begin with, only what it is when (if) it's released under that name, whatever it is.
