I keep wanting to use a minimalist windows/rainmeter theme but I can't find any that don't look terrible

With Rainmeter I always try to combine a bunch of skins, it ends up looking terrible, and then I delete everything. I've seen some nice looking ones but I can never get it to look good.

Just use one skin, don't combine them, they weren't created to look good together. And don't put 50 different things on the screen, just use a max of 4 (imo). Otherwise it'll be cluttered like shit.
