    The SGM 2.0 Dark Valley start sure is... challenging. Especially since my 5.56 L85 doesn't actually use the ammo assigned for it.
    Not sure if I should just wait for a good 2.1 installer upload or continue with the game, though.

    In Dark Valley, use the lean keys often, lean out, fire a few shots, go back into cover. And you can disable NPCs throwing grenades. That Renegade mission isn't all that hard.

    It's mostly that all the assault weapons you get are broken. I finished it with the starting shotgun and dumdum rounds.

    Can you include the option to switch off the CC system and sacrifice hazard protection instead of oxygen tanks?

    Also by that logic there should also be a Sunrise and PSZ-9 variant that features an oxygen tank that you can use or loot from dead bodies.

    So I'm playing Clear Sky and I'm at the military outpost between Cordon and the Garbage with 7 in game minutes to reach a safe point and the one in the Garbage and Cordon are way to far for me to get to and I die every time. Is there a certain spot I can stay in the outpost to survive the emission or is my only chance those safe spots which I cant reach at all?

    oh man I was gonna suggest a scuba style air compressor for the skadovsk but I thought it was silly

    how about a feature where your boots degrade over time and you have to apply boot polish to them and repair the soles otherwise you lose health and energy

    also you have to change your socks daily

    You're pretty much boned. How'd you end up in a situation like that in the first place ?

    So does that mean that you'll basically suffocate and die if you don't get air bottles or will it just kill your stamina recovery and make you walk like an old man with lung cancer ?

    If you can't turn off the system without taking off the suit that's stupid
    Maybe the SEVA could be "broken" so that you can take off the screen helmet but you cannot use it with any other suit.
    It could be balanced by making the chemical fallouts really deadly so that if you don't have a gasmask with filters or a closed-cycle suit you're going to perish pretty quickly as the fallout would start sapping your stamina (due to being difficult to breathe) and such.

    Well, I presume you'll be able to adjust it via scripts if you wanted to, like the SGM detector battery feature. It pretty much fulfils the same purpose (making artifact hunting more dangerous by rushing the player.)

    I was fighting off the military at the outpost and when I was done I didn't realise I had to get to a safe spot and thought that building would perfectly protect me (was wrong though). I'm not going to start over though, I guess I have to try to find a mod or trainer to let me survive that as that looks like that's my only choice.

    so im playin doom's mod and im a monolith sniper, sitting in a building in pripyat and i see this squad of freedom soldiers (about 3 of em) and i level up my sniper and pop the first guy right in his face. the other two guys duck behind a car, not knowing where i am. after a little while one starts to walk out from behind the car. i let him get a few yard before i punch a bullet right in his gut. he drops down, but not dead. his buddy sees that and has to make a choice "Do I stay here and let him bleed to death, or do I run out and be a hero?" he goes with trying to save his friend. so he starts to creep out from behind the car. as soon as I see my chance, i shoot him right in the neck. he is fuckin wasted! i leave the building and walk out to the downed freedom soldier. i point the gun directly at his head and shoot him.

    christ this game has some awesome moments

    Anyways, here's le quoted post:

    A new version is coming tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. It will have tons of new features and many fixed old ones. Here is just a quick list:

    - Helmets
    - Weapon accuracy overhaul
    - New alife messages
    - New bloodsuckers
    - A major overhaul of the "Give me your stuff!" feature
    - No invulnerable stalkers
    - A scope for the Mosin
    - New defense system and AI for faction bases
    - New inventory UI elements
    - Temporary traders and fixers for captured bases
    - Some changes to perks
    - Around 10 new models for stalkers, some of them unique to TFW, like the non-hooded seva.
    - "Wait" feature that works more or less like sleeping.
    - Changed the position of Military Warehouses <> Garbage level changers. Now they are like in SoC.

    Those are just a couple of them. Many are invisible to the player, like tweeks to offline combat system.

    Finish the game and go into freeplay. You'll start getting missions, and after a couple of them you'll be able to go to Dark Valley and eventually Army Warehouses

    Oh my god... It's fixed and added all the things I ever wanted. No more invincible stalkers, plenty of helmets, overhauling the item request system. better AI, new suits, traders and repairmen for bases, waiting, and modified perks. And weapon accuracy. Good lord, it's the best update yet.
