Checked Task Scheduler and it said there were no tasks in the last hour.

Whaat. Gonna check BIOS next. But I will do that tomorrow, it will only boot up at around 22.20. Today it was 22.17, it has done this a few days ago too and then it was at around 22.30 I guess.

Open the action center and check if it auto updated windows.

Did something fall on the keyboard? Your BIOS might be set to automatically turn on when that happens

I saw it booting up. It was at the screen of the Motherboards logo and stuff. I did not leave it on.

My BIOS once randomly decided to report a 3½ inch floppy drive even though I don't have one. Had to go in and turn that off.

It does affect temps. If you have too much on then it will up your temps by quite a bit. So yeah redo it.

Happens to my computer all the time, pisses me off and I have no clue what it is. I have noticed that when it's on stand by, turning on another computer in the house sometimes wakes it up.

I'm not entirely experienced with it. But I do know that most modern BIOS's have a setting to "wake on magic packet" or whatever (can't remember exactly what its called). Maybe try checking in your BIOS power settings?

Guys, what are Sun servers good for?

My company is decommissioning about 10x 2U Sun servers. They said each one cost them about $30,000 back in 07. My boss sort of casually ask if I wanted to take photos to post them on Ebay for them. hah.

If they are worth using for something I might ask to get one. I don't know what kind, They just look like 2U racks with loads of drives.
