Exercise will do wonders for your mental health and confidence, not only your body. Even if you start small. Doing 30 minutes of cardio a day is enough to really make you feel great, though if you want to seriously lose weight or gain muscle you'll need to do some regiments that are more targeted to whatever your goal is.
You don't have to lose games or anything. I certainly don't. But if you feel like games/internet are becoming too much of a distraction to the point that you don't know how you'll do anything other than that, then maybe taking a solid break from it all would be a good idea. Pack up your PC, put it in the attic and take a vacation from the "ordinary life" that is giving you troubles till you start feeling good about where you are heading and what you're doing.

I came to the same realization it sounds like you are coming to my second year in High school. Working out regularly did wonders for me as well as helping me make new friends that dragged me out of the box I was stuck in. I wish you luck. Something that helped me was taking a before picture/progress pictures. I hated my body before I started but was happy with it as I went on and after.

PR and Communications is a really cool degree. One of my mates is doing something similar and it's such a doss subject, lots of time for partying!
Also ahaaaa lol, I don't know about a stud - it's nice to have a place to bring guys back to, but most of the talent's spoken for. There's this Italian I'm kinda on the chirpse with, but I don't think he's all that in to me so it might just have to stay a fuckbuddy thing. I'm seeing him this evening to go to a gay bar with some peeps, but I can't get laid tonight because I've got to be up for 9AM on campus for a job I'm doing. I'm trying to talk him around into hanging out with me sober but everyone's so rarely sober it's kinda difficult
My, uh, GSA (we just call it the LGBT society, none of this alliance stuff) organises regular trips to gay bars and it has sober socials to do with like campaigning and watching queer cinema and stuff. Effectively this results in there being a room of non-straight people on campus at various points throughout the week so it's a great reason to do it, and you can get involved in campaigning and stuff.
In terms of the other point, maybe consider getting a rainbow wristband.
That's dumb. All my friends know I'm gay and they don't specifically need to know it, but like how they don't need to know I'm into Cocorosie or studied French at A-Level, it's part of who I am. There's no reason for them not to know it, plus they can introduce you to gay friends of theirs if they know you're gay.
