How long does it take to destroy the ender chest?
Is it just like obsidian?
I'm guessing it takes a long while to break, otherwise its just like having extra inventory space.
It's going to be really good for relocating and nomad style gameplay.
Anybody here got a .minecraft of Alpha 1.2.6+? I got the game during the 1.2.6 Alpha, and I just wanna play it again for nostalgic reasons. Anybody got anything?
-Snip, Fail quote-
That new dispenser liquid thing could be used to create hidden waterfall/lavafall doors actually...I wanna try it now.
Didn't get a chance to make torches by my second night in the world I'm on, and some creepers apparently thought it would be nice to spawn inside my house while I was away.
Uh, nevermind. Either they despawned or I just imagined it.
The fact enderchests are server-wide greatly lessens their usefulness in multiplayer.
Just got back into this with the intention of making a mad Sorcerer living in a mountaintop fortress, tried using "Dol Guldur" as a seed, and got... A large hill as a spawn location with a large sea on one side and some dense forests around the others.
Dol Guldur is the name of the fortress of The Necromancer (Sauron) in the Lord of the Rings, which was noted to be located on a large hill in the middle of the dense forests of Mirkwood. Love it when a seed reflects the location.
What fucking logic is this?
someone on sa said that minecarts are "controllable at moderate speeds"
this changes everything. again.
Jebous, new ore, new chest, new villages, PYRAMIDS! 1.3 is gonna be quite the game changer.
I feel like instead of adding good mod support mojang is just going to slowly add all the good mods to minecraft
So essentially this new chest is like an internal dropbox for minecraft.
Very useful, so no need to run items to other player's homes, but instead just have them craft the chest, and drop what they want in it. Night time trading is now very safe.
They can also repeatedly run into cacti and kill themselves. Not to mention stomp on their own crops.
Do not question their ancestral tribal ways.
But they have mastered crafting with fire. So it equals out.
On a serious note, I'm fuckin' pumped for 1.3.
now with that fucking new system i get lags and glitch in single player
fall in to void
I was wondering on how to improve my fps. I have optifine installed and yet it didn't show any boost. I have everything on low and it still lags.
I was getting that, fixed it by overwriting the old minecraft_server.jar from the last snapshot with a blank file.
Don't fall for their trickery, they'll want it back with interest or they'll burn your home!
You're unlikely to increase the FPS much by doing anything though if your computer is too slow to run it at a reasonable framerate. If it's really jerky on low everything you don't have much of a chance of getting it to run smooth.
