okay so like my birthday is coming up right
and i want to get some more production gear and shit, and i'm not sure if i should maybe invest in studio monitors, or some other piece of equipment, i already have the akai mpk25, which is an awesome midi controller, so i dont know what i need
maybe i dont need anything, but i just think it would be neat to have another toy to play with
Ok so I need help I have a few songs I wish to release as CD on internet, I saw bandcamp being used for facepunch album so I was thinking I could do the same and also other people use it, but I need help with the songs I have made so far, mostly in how song is sounding and less in how it is played.
So first song is going to be this one, A Life Of War
I think it is a good song to start off with since it has drive and speed which will settle of album nicely
Second song is going to be this one, F is for F- YOU
Is not as fast but continues on hard riffing of first song and more structured I think!
Third song is going to be this one, Chasing Ghosts
Sort of like mix of first and second with hard and fast drumming and riffing that is I think pretty cool but also more simple and pop.
Fourth song I think is going to be Annihilation (New song!)
Why is Fruity loops not letting me change the pitch of my audio clips, what is resampling and why is it necessary? Edit: Nvm, trim stopped pitch shifting for some reason.
Editedit: Why can't you automate the time stretching pitch knob? There's no way to change just the pitch and not the speed?
OH FRUITY GRANULIZER!!!
the last track of my ep that should be seeing a release around march/april is now up in the form of a 2 and a half minute preview (the songs only like 4 minutes 22 though there is a nice twist at the end youll have to look out for when it gets released and put up in full on my youtube channel thing)
but it is feeling a little lonely with no comments or anything, so yeah. after this is released ill be taking a big break from music in general to get alot of work done and sort out a bunch of things in the world of reality so that's the end of that for a while i guess. thanks everyone for your help up until this point!
I also found site called tindeck that you can upload music too and it doesnt change songs like other soundcloud does which is weird why do soundcloud change volume and other things but tindeck doesnt?
and soundcloud compresses all audio to prevent piracy
You are also true in putting it up for download some people have downloaded songs but I put them down because I keep making small changes so I figure bandcamp site is best place for finished songs and I have actually put together a small album or well EP I think it is called when only few songs on smaller timescale.
I think making thread for album release is bad idea so I will instead link album here, but maybe I could make album in general discussion like collaborative albums?
Here is link anyway
I think by putting price on songs I show I think music is good enough for people to pay for and make more people interested and also support me as musician
swedish people are cool tho
I have now made money off music, one buyer who made payment of $15!
Just name which one you like the most and I'll either get you the .gp file or text tabs.
How do you change the swing for individual patterns in FL?
Don't get the idea that I make music for money though. :V
It's just nice to get some cash in return.
Does anyone here use Cubase? I need help using figuring out how to use MIDI.
I have cubase, though i never use midi... shame on me, just DI.
I use Cubase daily, what are you trying to do?
Ive never used Cubase before or MIDI so I'm a plain beginner though.
I'm having an interesting record lag problem with Audacity; The lag in the track isn't consistent. Instead, it seems that the instrumental and the vocals I record seem to be going at a different tempo. That means, at first the vocals sound normal and on time, but as the track progresses, the timing becomes suckier and suckier. With a quick net search, I only found solutions to the consistent lag problems (drag the recorded track on place, well no shit... :P). Anyone have a solution?
This issue is likely with your audio interface or your ASIO settings. The issue could also be with your computer being slow.
ableton live has been crashing a lot for me lately :I
