Every company in the world will be a part of the EP3 ARG.
Even IKEA?
Especially IKEA
Let's ask swebonny bout' that.
Watch as it turns out to be some more dumb shit for TF2.
New in ikea: Ohlav Lyf chairs
i sure wonder why someone would by a domain to prevent others from stealing it and do dumb shit??
Wait, does that mean that a DNS change has been made yesterday, or that the whois database updated yesterday?Code:Updated Date: 29-apr-2012
My sentence went toward the IGN one. These things always remind me,
how the websites handle information that contain Half Life in the headline.
It annoys me. They always put "maybe", "speculation", "rumours", etc into them and in the end, everything is fake.
Sometimes, they even put fake news up and then, when it's clear that it's fake, the "fans" complain about Valve, how they play/troll with their fans.
Websites raise hopes, to crush them, in the end. And they don't care about the fans. They never stop doing it.
They did it with the E3 announcement in 2010, where they announced Portal 2 for PS3. People complained
that Valve didn't announce the next Half Life game, although, they have said weeks ago, that it will be nothing
Half Life related. Websites still talked about a possible HL announcement.
They did it with the E3 2011 with that "Freeman - June 14th" thing and websites made big news for it, raising hopes again, to crush them.
Valve said that they won't even be at E3. But at gamescom. And again, people thought they will announce Half Life 3. It was Dota 2. People complained.
I still see people complain/hating Valve, about things, that are clearly fake and where Valve aren't responsible for them.
I'm just annoyed by this.
There will be HL3 announcement in E3 this year despite what Gabe said. Remember my words.
yeah im sure they'd put out a extremely out of character and cryptic foreboding tweet with no link to a article so they can "get peoples hopes up" and then "crush them"
Edited:
I'd assume it means there was a dns change since it says this at the end.
their servers work with the tears of their followers
Wrong. They have a private booth, so they'll be there but only press is allowed inside.
Again. This just reminds me with the things I've written above. I didn't say that they will do something like that.
I've meant the E3 2011. They said they won't be at the E3 from 2011. I know that they will be at this years E3, but they already said, that they will show off Dota 2 and CS GO + Steam Big Picture.
you dont put out cryptic and foreboding shit like that for some speculative/rumor article.
even fucking steam support put out a tweet, you're an idiot.
Edited:
yeah i'm sure valve would just say " we're showing half-life 3 off at e3" in a email, its not like valve is into big reveals! especially with its biggest and MOST anticipated sequel.
I dont get the steam support tweet...what does it say about things?
you said "won't" as in " will not", so I thought you meant this year.
Either way, why would they go to E3 to show something they've already announced AND have betas out for with thousands of participants?
Oh, I will just be happy to see how wrong lotusking is.
Edited:
Valve won't hire a private booth to show Ep3, they will do it on public.
Sorry, English isn't my native language.
The Big Picture is still new. And they only have a small private room.
My bad, I didn't look far enough into it.
Because this time, the E-Mail is real.
are you daft? I didn't say the email was fake, i'm saying valve wouldn't just just announce one of their most ANTICIPATED games in some email.
No, but sometimes it's hard for me to understand sentences. Okay, I get it.
last time I checked they already displayed BPM on GDC.
I know this is probably me grasping at straws now too (and it probably doesn't make too much sense), but they don't necessarily HAVE to show off something like Episode 3/Half-Life 3 at E3, right? There are several other conventions throughout the year they can make an appearance at to show stuff like Episode 3 or Meet the Pyro, like PAX East or something.
I don't know, I guess part of me just wants to remain hopeful, but as time goes on, and we continue to see no sign of Freeman, that hope is fading out quicker and quicker.
They didn't with HL2
Oh man, I'm so ready for this.
I have $80 and I'm going to pre-order this bitch as fast as my internet can let me.
Oh man oh god I want to believe.
It's just a reminder to follow their other twitter accounts. I don't think it has anything to do with EP3, since there's no Half-Life twitter from Valve. There are Half-Life Facebook pages, but they haven't posted anything for ages.
Chill with the names, man. It's unnecessary.
All Steam Support said was "Be sure to check out all the #Valve feeds." That doesn't automatically mean that something super-major is right around the corner, it's more like saying "Hey, wanna keep track of everything? Here's all the ways you can do that."
Like Antimuffin said, Valve already has Dota 2, CS GO, and Steam Big Picture. Announcing HL2:EP3 at this year's E3 would really just make the entire thing overcrowded. It doesn't feel like the right time.
Of course, we'd love to be proven wrong with an announcement for EP3. It'd be awesome if that happened. But there's a lot of legitimate reasons available for us to be able to assume that it won't.
Although, they've already announced an revealed as much as they can on all of those. It would explain the private room, though. I could see Valve getting worried about people going nuts when they don't/do announce HL3/EP3 in a public space.

Hosted in Maple Valley, Washington.

Doesn't say when it was registered, or who by. It's obviously Valve, but the fact that it doesn't say who or when means that it's a fairly new domain. That and the fact that it redirects to "orange.half-life3.com/apache2-default/" which can happen if you don't change default settings on Apache 2
Both half-life3.com and orange.half-life3.com seem to be updating every few minutes, but orange is only a few seconds behind every time.
If Valve is actively updating these urls often, it wouldn't be a bad guess to say they're planning on announcing something very soon.
The site is not getting updated, the whois database is.
Direly hope this stuff is leading somewhere; it's been over 4 years since we last stepped into the HEV suit, and i'm hoping against hope that something rears it's head soon, or even just give a substantial hint of something in October 9th, the 5 year anniversary of the Orange Box. If the private room is legit, we can only hope there's no NDA and they can speak of what they found in there.
It's been so long, and little if anything has been said. It's almost painful if you think about it.
Why do people always get so excited about meaningless shit?
we need to have hope so we grasp at straws in hopes of the games release
3
huh a major game news network quotes a famous game in a foreboding and cryptic manner? and it's sequel has been under wraps for years? and it's highly anticipated?
probably nothing
You must be new here
CS:GO and Dota 2 are being released this year, by time E3 happens CS:GO might even be only a few weeks from release, they've got to announce a new game at some point.
