Well since the last thread got closed literally the second I posted in it Ill just copy it over.
I guess I'll give this sub forum a try. Crosses fingers and hopes this isn't like other car subforums in non car related forums I've been on.
I still have all of these vehicles and a few others not important enough to bother posting.
The daily
The toy
(mega old pictures)
My first, which I still have but is just sitting around in the backyard with a v8 swap and no tranny.
Yeah, its got a hood and bumper I'm not so proud of today but I was 16 and that was a long time ago.
I also have this sitting in a container stored away till the day I decide/can afford to restore it.
49 Chevy

Not crazy about that primed GMC but that 49 is nice! (DON'T FUCKING SLAM IT)
It will be restored and put on a updated chassis with proper suspension. No more front leaf springs among a few other needed changes.
I am currently looking through the entire last thread and "Post your lawnmower" was a joke used quite early in the thread so I used that![]()
Old, but as cNova said, nothing has changed except bird shit that is on my car now.

Now that I've accumulated some miles I want to do something to it. I'm looking into some CAIs but since this is the first time I've looked into anything like that I basically don't know what to look for/or if they are worth it. Pros would be slight HP/TQ/(mpg?) gains (and sound...) but how about hydrolocking or increased wear on the engine (due to less filtering?). Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?
Going to get better pictures soon!

The pics suck, I know. For some reason I love taking photographs of other peoples cars and hate taking pictures of my own car.
If its the boosted model the best thing you could do is a full turbo back exhaust and a real tune (not a email tune or basemap) CAI are worse than the stock intake systems on most vehicles.

My daily is laughable, so have my other car instead:

Tw34k sell me those fucking wheels
or trade me for my slips
I want some black HXs so bad. Haha.
Clean EJ8, btw.
Your Civic too, Technicsix. Clean EG6 you've got there.
One of my favorite cars!
They actually came with the car, it's an hx and I never have been much of a wheel whore like most honda guys I know. I would however like to one day find a nice set of GSR blades as a daily set and maybe just use the HXs for some decent event tires.
I've got VXs which are the 13" version of HXs, but I've been wanting HX wheels. I'm trying to sell my slips though, I liked them at first but I really prefer OEM/smaller wheels.
I don't like GSR blades or EK SI rims though... My least favorite OEM wheels.
Yeah honda sorta made the same wheel three times, vx 13, hx 14, and type r 15.
I agree with the disliking of the EK SI fat-5 looking wheels but for some reason to me I fantasize about my car with some white or flat black power coated blades

Brother!
Another Mazdaspeed owner I see. You could always get a short ram intake instead of a CAI if you have fears about hydrolocking. By itself, you will get a little bit of a gain. According to the MS forums, these cars take nicely to an aftermarket intake because of how restrictive the stock ones are. If you get a full cat back exhaust, you could get noticeable results.
Turbo back > Cat back
Some people have the inconvenience of dealing with emissions though I suppose.
If you insist on replacing your intake I'd suggest something along the lines of this

But if it was my car I would first worry about an exhaust, front mount intercooler, and a REAL tune.

Couple of re-posts.

Pics of my truck 3 years ago when i first got it:
Nothing's changed other than new bumpers and a lowering kit
Oh and a pic of me and Lou Santiago 2 years ago.
Edited:
The yellow 1991 Mitsubishi MightyMax in the background of the third pic was actually my first truck. We sold it back to its original owner. That thing was fucking fun. It had a 2.4l 5 speed manual, with a fart can![]()
whenever I get more cash I'm going to buy hx rims from my buddy :3
love that new thread smell

my god your head is massive.
I WAS ITCHING MY NUTS

Man I haven't posted a picture of my truck in AGES! Primarily because I don't like being assed with going on my home pc, transferring the pictures from my phone, uploading them, then posting. Looking at some mobile hosting apps right now so I'll upload a somewhat recent one.
Also, my dad had pretty much the exact same truck as you MightyMax, black 1969 Chevy, drove it during
Highschool and ended up selling it with a sea of regret. I want to do the dodge equivalent of your truck, 1977 or so D100, same color scheme.

A truckbro
That was on my short-list of efficient motors for hauling audio gear around. I'd happily own one.
I like it, I just couldn't find one within 60 miles that hadn't been used by a builder or was the MPV with the windows and stuff (Looks too much like a wheelchair-mobile with them)

Plane-style seats, with better-than-plane legroom!
Old picture but nothing has changed.
Since I'm probably going to keep this thing until it dies I figure I should start saving to make some changes though...
The guy who did this gives me some good ideas.
Though I plan on replacing components before I invest on the exterior. I'd like to get a CAI or short ram and a cat-back. I don't know if I can get new headers for the 2.0 sentra. Apparently I can get rid of some of the CVT lag by replacing the CVT ground for around $20. I'll probably do that some time this month.
I would LIKE to replace the tranny with a manual but I have no idea how to go about doing so and how much it would cost (without labor.)
What.
I have no idea what happened there![]()
