Ah, well it looked good. Really had me thinking it was a GT.

    What happened to it?
Transmission blew on it in spring 07. I bought a clutch, and had a tranny lined up at the scrap yard, then decided I was tired of working on the car (had rebuilt the top end only a year before) and decided to take the decent parts off of it and scrap the rest.

I really like the A3/S3. BUT WHY PINK! Or is it a different color but appears pink?
I think it's silver, but the lighting just makes it appear pinkish.

lol, they need two superchargers on a built V8 to smoke up a couple of all-season tires on a vehicle with a 70/30 front weight bias? They shouldn't need more than 350HP, which is less than an LS7 makes right out of the crate.

It's actually like a bluey-silver, not sure on the actual paint code. It's just that effect:

This engine also just managed to survive several minutes at full throttle sucking in rancid tiresmoke air, and probably still runs ok

I'm curious, what was owning a Cavalier like? My inner sense wants to say they're horribly unreliable crap piles, but I see so many 98/99's running around today that it doesn't seem possible.

Why would you put such a glorious engine inside such a garbage chassis and then proceed to destroy it doing stupid burnouts?

Love it. It's a bit dirty though, you should give it a wash. I'd love to see it in a totally clean way (if you have any pictures of it totally clean, please do post them). Also out of curiosity, what's actually in the back of it? Looks really heavy, whatever it is.

Here's a picture of my car, next to an American import I found on my street.

I have an American friend of the same age that drives a dark green version of said import.
So I had to park up and send him this picture! Damn Avalanche takes up two spaces (it's been illegally parked for the sake of others, as parking space is an issue on the street).

Ohh my cars been put to shame though :(

Heh, first Avalanche I've seen that looks good. I'm surprised someone in Britain opted to import one though, they work fine here but I imagine the size makes it a bit of a tight squeeze downtown.

It's hanging off the white line (in terms of width) and its in half a spot because the length would mean it took up 1 and a half spaces.
This car will definately have to take various 'long way rounds' because I know plenty of roads in my area this cannot physically get through without blocking the other side.

However, there is a local with a 10 year old Mustang. He regularly parks it on the main road. The road has parked cars on both sides with traffic easily flowing between. But when this damn Mustang parks there, one side of the road is blocked off and it creates a traffic nihgtmare. Damn cars too wide, the wheels are beyondthe white line for the space :/

Yeah, ya'll's roads are tiiinnyyy. Mustangs are small cars over here, about the same size as a four door Japanese sedan of the same year. They're anything but 'big', so to hear that one doesn't fit on your roads...

Holy fucking shit, a running Dodge minivan!!!

Our '96 has 160,000 miles and no transmission anymore. Well, specifically, no fourth gear, but the fluid's burnt so if we try to drive it first, second, third and reverse won't be far behind. Fucking Ultradrive. On a somewhat related note there is now a strict "No Mopars Allowed" rule regarding cars we buy.

We do. Well, for us they aren't tiny. They're about the right size because of the size of our cars. But when a fat American car arrives there's no room to spare.

Kinda like our fast food joints.

Yeah, we have adequate, appropriate sized roads. I've gotten through that road with a lorry on the other side. But not when there's a parked Mustang.
