I looked around for a bit because we almost got one of those (turns out we didn't have money). The true top speed is 147, but they are limited by a Governor. Take it off, and you can make it to that speed.

That's what i was going to say, could be a limiter. Most (hell, all) aftermarket chips will not only improve performance via various ratios but remove any stupid-ass governors like that. Example, it removes the RPM limiter on my dads dodge ram, which limits it to 3k when it's in park. Pointless unless whoever owns it likes to rev to redline and hold it there, in which case they shouldn't own a car in the first place...
Yeah, probably created to cover their asses if something happens.
147MPH is for the 5 speed manual, sadly i have the 4at slushbox. I believe it should be around 140MPH. AFAIK these don't have governors. Turns out the Service Engine light is for an oxygen sensor. Correct me if i'm wrong but that very well may hurt my performance?
It just doesn't have enough nuts. Even my 72 gmc would do 150, with a 350 hp v8 behind it.
Ahh, yeah, the Autos for that era are a bit slow. Atleast it isn't CVT.
Anyways, it depends on how bad the sensor is.
Have you done any road trips through mountainous regions recently? Those can throw them off for a bit, but nothing serious happens.
Uh yes, incredibly much so. The O2 sensor is as it sounds, an oxygen detector. It tells the car's computer how much air is coming into the car, and how much gas needs to go in. This is obviously important to maintain a proper Fuel-Air ratio. I.E: 15:1 Air to Fuel
Now, what can happen is that with a malfunctioning O2 sensor, your car will start pumping too little or too much fuel. This will hurt performance and just as badly, your fuel economy.
O2 Sensors is one of those things you should fix right away if you care about performance and/or fuel economy. It's pretty important. It's not dire to replace it, but it'll only help your performance and fuel economy, and it costs under $200 with labour. You can pick one up
for under $100 IIRC.
Depending on the car you can pick one up for 10-20 bucks and install it yourself in 5 minutes if you have basic knowledge on plugging and screwing things in. At least that's the case with mine..
Yeah, had i of known what it was i wouldn't of pushed the car that hard for that long. It was literally 5 hours of constant WOT and sprinting through gears. Woops. However, that would most certainly explain why i was using more fuel than it should of, and why the car was so slow.
reminds me of like a 70s movie "make out hill" type thing
what am i saying
Some guy was taking photos of every car that drove into the drag strip, woo (went to watch, not to race)

Clean hatch.
Finally got a chance to take some pics of my car. It's a little dirty especially the rims but whatever

Your from america right? thought the EP models were sold there? (heard they are rare in the us though, I must admit)
They are rare.
Silly Civic Van.
I saw one driving directly towards me, and i thought it looked just like my car but different somehow, and that's when it turned and i was able to see it was the si. I never noticed how similarly styled the front end is to my 04 civic.
Yeah nearly identical in a strange way :O
someone crashed directly into one of my wheels the other week (brand new at the time) and its pushed my wheel around a bit, I measured the wheelbase and its 5mm shorter on the damaged side than the undamaged side. I took the wheel off and couldn't see anything damaged snapped or broken... But thats for another thread lol
Europeans have the best cars :( and always have (except for muscle cars, america dominated that.)
Europe has more of what I like. I like lightweight cars with low displacement engines(like 2.2l).
yippee ki yay motherfucker!
The majestic Seearviticus Brotisticus fondles the comanche, dreaming of a better 4x4.
Not a pic of the car but I got this for the 'vette today

what are those rims called?
I have a set that look exactly like it except it has AZEV on the inner rim, not sure if knockoff or not.
Powertech BCW, They're 8x15
What is it? It's a damn beautiful car, but I've never seen one before.
I believe it is a Volkswagen Corrado, but I may be mistaken.
That interior looks insanely good. I wish i was surrounded by leather in my car.
