Well yeah you can use CM9 but it's not perfect yet. ZTE version is pretty much this:

What's working:
- Wired headset is now recognised
- Bluetooth and Wi-fi (WI-FI can stay on while phone is sleeping)
- Music player
- GPU acceleration (fast with animations on too)
- SD card
- Google Sync
- Gmail (partly)
- Sound
- Maps (May not work)
- Single touch
- Market
- Auto rotation (with nice animation)
- Superuser
- Overclockable
- Telephone fully works
- GAPPS
- Gallery (After taking a screenshot)
- Video playback ( around 2 fps..not really enjoyable )
- Usb storage mode
- DSP manager
- Most of the games are working (Tried Angry birds and N.O.V.A and Gangstar)

What's not working:
- Stock browser (other browsers are ok)
- No CM settings yet
- FM radio (maybe it could work with a right application)
- Some Google apps force closes
- !No built in filemanager!
- Camera
- Youtube
- Google Earth

I don't know if anyone can answer this question, but does anyone know what the mic dB threshold on a GSII is? I ask this because I want to record myself at the shooting range next time I go, but I don't want to 'blow out' my microphone. If its even possible.

Don't know where else to ask this, and google yields little results.

ICS itself is out since like end of October. Custom (stable) phone versions are not (in most cases).

For games, see the Android Humble Bundle, they're good for wasting time (I can verify this):

They have limits, but they don't break. It'll just sound distorted. It's a phone microphone so it's designed for sensitivity, not recording loud noises. You should do some experimentation as the figures won't really help you, and you can probably make it work ok by muffling it with something.

Rooted my Viewsonic Gtab recently to a honeycomb rom.
The camera and map don't work, but so far the rom runs great. I seem to have a problem where the tablet locks up on the rare occasion, causing me to have to reboot it. This happened on my last rom as well.

Also, just bought my wife a Droid Razr. She is upgrading from a Droid Incredible, which was not a bad phone, but HTC screwed up on it. So many problems that people have reported that HTC never cared to even try to fix.
I'm still on a DroidX, but it runs perfectly for me, and is unrooted.

I just realized I have the i9100G version of the SGSII — supposedly has slighty weaker perfs for no overheating and better battery life — and there's one thing I'm wondering about; is that version ever going to be supported in terms of updates, be it by Samsung or community ROMs like Cyano?

My SGSII won't boot into cwm even though I flashed it trough rom manager and google wasn't particularly helpful. Anyone knows what to do? I tried flashing an earlier cwm version but that didn't work either.
