I've gotten bored of Skyrim and probably won't play it again until there's a new DLC. I've just played it way too much and need to take a break before I play it again, just like I used to do with Oblivion.

I've done about 300 hours on skyrim, more than any other game in my games list. I've done about five different playthroughs, discovered pretty much any area of interest, completed almost every quest in one playthrough or another, and dabbled in all fighting styles.
I'm about ready for some DLC.

I have 8 completed playthroughs all of them are level 81 so yeah, it's about time for DLC.

I've gotten 90 hours in the game and I hope they won't release anything that costs money and is related to Skyrim ever.

Sometimes I get the urge to just delete all my characters and uninstall all my mods and just start fresh, but I know I'd regret it...

What makes you think that any DLC will be free...?
I mean serious ones, like on par with Shivering Isles, not the kill-cams update.

I know this is an old post but I am interested in making a mod like this.
That is if you guys would like to see it, I'd have to take some liberties though, since I am more of a scripter and not too big on Sound Design, Art or Animation

This is why I'm waiting for mods to come out, including mine
(which overhauls the skills and perk trees).
I really want to play an evil mage character and a thief/assassin, especially as I'v eonly spent my 100hrs on a single 2H non-magic using paladin knight (and I ususally like archer/mage classes). But all the really awesome mods are still in development, sans some fun gimmicks here and there. So I'm gonna wait.

Would anyone be able to recommend me any mods suitable for a mad mage/scientist character? I have dwemer certified already, but other than that, I'm not sure what to get.

Also, is there any word out about a mod similar to the Tailor Maid mods for Fallout 3 and New Vegas? It would be pretty awesome to make custom sets of armor with parts from other armors.

Oh god, gotta love having the weakest weapon in the game enchanted with Paralysis and Soul Trap. Just killed a Briarheart by poking him with that, seeing him fall like a rock, then taking out that thing out of his chest. And with a soul to boot.

Mammoth farming is the future.
Incidentally, seeing how mammoths have larger souls than giants, I ponder to myself which of them is the "animal" of the relationship. Have mammoths domesticated giants?

someone should make a stealth-based character called Phillip who can only use a pickaxe and has really low but rapidly regenerating health

It always seemed funny to me how npcs tell you about the districts in Whiterun when it's such a tiny little town.

Hope not to rustle anyone's jimmies, but I heard from a friend (who bullshits a lot I may add) that Skyrim DLC will come out for the 360 and PS3 thirty days before it hits the PC.
Anybody know what the fuck he's on about?

Wow, now I may actually feel like staying in Whiterun for more then five seconds.
With the fact there is only the Jarl's Palace, what would be the point of going to it. Battle-born and Gray-mane look like they're part of the poor people district.

Yeah, Bethesda really needs to learn that filler NPC's and some filler content (that has a purpose) can do wonders for actually making cities feel like cities. I like that they have it so every building in a town belongs to someone and has a purpose, but when there's only a population of 30 in your town and your town is less than 30 buildings large, that's a problem, especially when some of these places are supposed to be landmark cities in Skyrim.
This mod looks great, it's something I've always wanted to see - inside of Whiterun left mostly unchanged (for compatability, performance, and gameplay reasons, but the outside actually expanded to be a city, where the middle/poor class live, the farms expanded to be more than just minor gardens, etc...
Places like Falkreath feel fine to me, as they are kind of like little towns in wilderness, but for major cities like Solitude, Windhelm and Whiterun it really feels weird to have them be so tiny.

So I finally got to actually completing the DB quest line and it got a bit anti-climactic at the plot twist where it shows up you didn't kill the real emperor and get attacked by the guards. After I killed the guards, I went down the stairs and a regular Solitude guard arrested me. Apparently, killing the emperor only gives you a 1500 bounty.
Anyway, how am I supposed to mount this thing?

I really, really wish they hadn't Killed off the vast majority of the DB. I mean, I could live with Astrid dying, maybe even Arnbjorn, but the others...I was rather fond of them. Plus I think veezara should have survived. His being one of the last shadowscales could have led to a possible DLC.

I'd take Veezara over Vampkid any day. Seriously, she was annoying.

Keep in mind though, vampkid is just that - a kid. They could never get away with killing her off. But I agree completely. I actually was thinking of using console commands to recruit Veezara into the Blades just to see what happens.

Having done the TG before the DB, I really wanted there to be a DB version of the Nightingale armor and those three powers you get at the end.

I also wish the people who replaced the dead DB members had a little personality. Maybe even have the player be responsible fore their recruitment, kind of like the way the player gets recruited into the DB in Oblivion, just with the roles reversed.

I'd like to see an Elder Scrolls game in an Egyptian/Persian type of setting.
Basically armor and weapons in that style, along with the sandy desert setting.
