What's Your Number - 6.5/10. Anna Faris is freakin' sexy as hell and still really funny. Chris Evans is funny too.

whats your number is the most insulting, by the numbers, disgusting piece of schlock ever
You're entitled to your opinion. I thought it was alright, nothing to pay 11 bucks for in theaters though. I got it for free from Redbox.
Geez, that was only an example, I couldn't think of anything better. What I meant is, the reason why The Hangover is funny (FOR SOME PEOPLE), is that almost everything is based on surprise. oh hey, I'm just here hanging around trying to find out what happened last night- oh no, a tiger! <-part where you should laugh , that's what makes it "funny". If you watch it again, you definitely won't feel the same way.
A movie like Forrest Gump gives the same feeling (oh wow, it was him that created the smiley face) , but the whole joke isn't based on that, it's why it's still funny if you watch it again.
It's pretty much what Mixed sources said, the jokes were cheap. However, I don't think that this makes a movie bad (ok, maybe it does in this case), just different.
3:10 to Yuma - 8/10
I enjoyed most of the film but it was fairly predictable and other than the main bloke and the guy they were escorting most of the characters are pretty two dimensional.
The tiger wasn't funny at all. Don't tell me when I should laugh at mediocre comedy.
The Hangover wasn't awful, but it wasn't good and it definately doesn't deserve the attention it got.
lol that was sarcasm
Edited:
(see "funny" in quotation marks)
Yeah but it's not a movie "for some people", it's plain mediocre comedy.
well I was just hoping you'd get my example instead of discussing something unrelated
Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star- 0/10
I was dragged into seeing this.
I'm calling the police.
Haha, it wasn't the worst movie. You gotta like Nick Swardson.
No.
Yes.
I meant you gotta be a fan of Nick Swardson to enjoy the movie the least bit, otherwise you'd hate it.
Let me quote... well, you.
Read my last post. I cleared it up. Jesus.
How interesting that that wasn't there when I made the post.
We posted at the same time. You were ninja'd. I edited it the second I realized I wasn't being clear about it.
Anyone seen Tower Heist?
I get where you're coming from for sure, but I just like Danny Trejo a bunch, and I don't know, I guess a bit of me could just be thinking that because I watched them together. I need to watch Hobo by itself.
Watching the Black Book tonight, some foreign film idk, will post thoughts later.
Edited:
I saw it. Was enjoyable, not worth a buy, but worth a watch.
Okay thanks. I'll check it out.
I am legend- 9/10
Seemed more of a drama than an action/horror. I almost cried when when he had to kill the dog...
That was always the worst part. Is this the first time you've seen it though?
Ending was fucking terrible and destroyed the entire point of the book
good film absolutely terrible ending
Also went out to see The Woman in Black today. I'm thinking like an 8/10
It was actually a really good film, Daniel Radcliffe was pretty excellent in it and it was actually really quite scary. The jumps were used well (despite there being quite a lot) but the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic the whole way through. Not a typical modern horror film at least. Worth watching I'd say.
Tower Heist - 7/10. Eddie Murphy was the funniest one. Pretty enjoyable movie.
Is drive that good? Should I watch it?
I heard it was amazing, and I also heard it was terrible. Like it drug on and on.
if you like things that require patience and absorbing the atmosphere then go for it. If you're looking for a driving action movie, try Fast Five.
8.5/10
Been meaning to watch this for a while, and now its free on On Demand (at least on directv).
Really cool English alien film that has a sort of Ghostbusters feel to it. Awesome soundtrack as well
I never expected it to be good. For chavreasons, but it's pretty damn good.
i thought it was pretty mediocre, but pretty funny.
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 3-D
Critical standpoint: 5/10
Emotional standpoint: 9/10
I watched that on my MacBook while on the road to Plymouth(south of england). I don't think I could have chosen a better movie to watch on a journey.
I really enoyed it.
can you guys recommend me a bunch of movies that are undeniably good?
i'm going for a 5-day holiday with my gf, no internet, not much to do in the city, so movies are a good idea. i got 5 already but it's not even close to being enough
I'm watching The Hurt Locker right now. I'm only 10 minutes in and it's already freakin' amazing. Maybe you'd like it, but I'll leave a rating when I'm done.
Apocalypse Now Redux
Alien
12 Angry Men (1957)
Witness for the Prosecution (1954)
Frost/Nixon
All I can think of at the moment.

Liking movies Rusty doesn't? What is this!?
Just to let you know, baby geniuses 2 is one of the greatest films of all time. It is incredible. The fight scenes alone is worth it. I bought this movie and loved it right away. So far I've seen it 6,234 times. The plot is brilliant. An EVIL meanie tries to brainwash a bunch of kids! But don't worry though, the SUPER BABIES come in and stops the bad guy.
This movie is perfect in every way possible. But if your under 18 you might want to see it with your parents. It has intense violence and it even has some cursing. Speaking of the violence, the fight scenes in this movie makes The Matrix look like sissy fighting.
10/10
Y...you... wha...
