Check Gamestop's PC area sometimes they have good games on sale. I got at least five games from there.

Forgot to mention, I'm in Australia. The Australian Gamestop (EBGames) is super expensive here, if you're buying games it's the last place you'd look as the price is higher than other places such as Steam or other local gameshops. I'd also prefer it to be digital.

Was anyone here actually able to prevent the presidents assassination at hoover dam their first time? I remember standing there listening to his speech when I blinked and suddenly his head gets blown off.

I remember the first time I was standing off to the side of the president, on a roof or something, scanning the crowd with my sniper. Seeing nothing of interest, I decided to walk along the dam to see if there was anything interesting. That was when I came across the body of the ranger. So I immedietly climbed up the building and confronted the guy, who turned out to be Legion. I melee killed him, and radioed in the disturbance.
THAT was when I remembered the bomb on the Vertibird. So without thinking, I jump off the roof, breaking a leg, and run to the Vertibird. I didn't have any stimpacks, so I was stuck with a bum leg. I manage to defuse the bomb as the 'bird lifted off the ground.
I felt fucking boss after that.

First, you using any mods? I remember that having live iguanas in your inventory crashes the game.
Second, the install instructions for RFCW in the download folder are correct, the instructions on the nexus are not.

The download on the Nexus isn't even correct; it's missing quite a few esp files.

It was on sale for about £5 during the sales, so I'd recommend waiting.

If you're using RFCW, then it'll do that. If you're playing FO3, then try reloading a previous save/looking for a backed up save.

Ive never been able to finish the main quest in fallout 2 for some reason. Did just about everything else though.

Same with me - especially since I played it on the Xbox, so modding was out of the question. Gonna get a decent PC soon, maybe with mods it'll be more enjoyable.

I guess so - for one, you get to use a mouse, which is way more precise than a gamepad. And I remember reading something about an ironsights mod a while ago.

Good times playing Fallout 3 for the first time, until I met the fire ants.

I avoided that place until I got laser/plasma weapons.

It reminds me of the time when I went to that place full of ants in Fallout 3 (it involves a certain quest with a science experiment that went wrong, I believe).
I was killing them pretty easy one by one with my hunting rifle. I took the advantage of going up inside a building and saw a lone ant.
Thinking it was easy prey, I took my time and aim for it AND THEN IT SPOUT FLAMES AT ME.
Sure it might not be too surprising to most people but it was my first time encountering them and I completely did not see that coming.
It took most of my health; I panicked and ran away. I did not bother messing with those ants until I was a good portion through the game.
