Some old stuff I found in my screenshots. Thought they'd be better off here instead of in my recycle bin.
This one is a brief foliage/displacement experiment I made to test out with color_correction. Didn't work out too well in the end, but it's still kinda pretty.
Next up is a self-assessment thing I made last year; wanted to see how well I could do with urbex environments. Turned out nice. I still have the VMF, I think.

Adding the storyline to the introduction/spawn area of the map. I'm sure some of you remember getting crushed to death at the end of the first gm_scream. Well here's where it will pick back up in the eyes of another survivor. I have it set up where you'll hear the previous survivor screaming for his life, then a bone chilling crunch follows.
Worked on the holding area for the trapped prisoners who all vanished later on. You'll find them later on in another scene.

Still not getting why Valve is starting to use models for stuff like trims on buildings, I would understand if it was a set of models, but one specific model for a building? It could be done with brushes.
it's all about modularity and how much they can reuse a single 3d asset.
I hope we'll be able to rescale models in the new tools, whenever they come out.

Once you try using modular mesh's you won't want to go back to using brush's (unless you can't model)
