Fuckin love leshrac:
hey guys let's continue to post mediocre screenshots like it's the league of legends thread ^wwww^
yeah shush you beardy
Leshrac is pretty cool, yeah.
I can agree with Beardy though, posting screencaps of a complete domination or something that isn't funny does make the thread look like the LoL one.
Oh god they post how good they do with their 13/11/1's...
Edit: My screencap was a retarded game and was surprising that we won since they were raping us 11-0 in the first 10 minutes.
But I wish I didn't have to support the team, I could've gotten my heart and a sheepstick with the money I got throughout the game.
Doesn't everyone have a right to feel awesome? >:
and not bloodseeker
or people who think theyre good because they played ez mode axe
How about this one?
I'm excited for tomorrow.
I just realized it's thursday.
I'm not ready for this update.
I just played a game as lich, I did all the good support things, bought wards(someone else bought courier), I upgraded the courier, all that jazz. Then 10 minutes later the zeus who was in mid lane bought 2 flying couriers. I didn't pay much mind to it, I thought maybe it was a mistake.
At the end of the round when we lost he was carrying a flying courier a magic stick, plain boots, and a recipe for something.
Just got queued vs a friend
Got pudge vs him doombringer mid
ended up 17 6 or something like that
yeah doomburger counters everything, especially pudge
I dived him pre 6 and managed to kill him and suicide
Then I simply went ganking and didn't touch mid at all
The moment when DK and Sniper laned bot together (and subsequently got murdered) I knew that we were gonna win that one.
Even though we lost mid tower and nearly mid barracks. Manta & Daedalus are some serious gamechangers on Drow.
DK has nice early game stun and survivability from passive. Sniper has range and ministun coupled with some AoE slow/dmg. If they had dedicated junlger that would gank a lot (Enigma, Chen, Furion), your lane would be feeding ground for 2 powerful carries, in addition to lane being suspectable to Creep Pulls.
Why I think it would be feeding ground ? Sniper's range covers him staying our of early harassment/stun abilities, unless someone waltz in among 3 players with just 1 teammate around. Stun from DK (couple that with Nuke past lvl 3) and some sort of CC/Damage from Junlger = way too much for Drow early and I don't think there are many supports/initators that could help you out there. Possibly Windrunner with shackle or Dazzle.
Don't assume things so easily. One could assume 5 hard carry team is a good idea, because you just have to survive till 40 or so minutes and you are likely to be starting to win.
Dota is a game of surprises coupled with strategy, like some good movie said, ""... is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get!"
The enemy team build was this:
And while what you're saying is true, that's all moot when the skill isn't there. Like I said, we kept doing some serious damage to DK and Sniper which rendered the two of them underleveled compared to what they could have farmed. By game's end, Sniper was level 18 and DK 16. Hell, he died (or at least came close to death) early game several times by running too far out ahead, and then letting DK take the fallout (and thus also dying). Throw that in with a (russian) Furion who fails to properly help, and you've got a lane that isn't really serving up to its potential.
As a sidenote, Sven was so underleveled (level 14) that he was more or less a free kill by game's end. Enemy literally had no tank.
Skill = juking and striking in forest on 100 HP with Armlet against full HP enemy and winning / Catching 5 people in Enigma's Ultimate / Executing good Shadow Fiend Ultimate
Making lane work + ganks happen = communication and teamwork. Sadly, people in pubs are afraid of Microphones and tend to speak only following :
- push <lane>
I wish people would be more open and friendly. I'd love getting 4 random people to play with, all of whom talk, come up with interesting/new stuff.
Chen suggesting Pudge to do Teleport/Hooks on enemy lane, while Vengeful gets them in position.
Dark Seer running around with SF (+Shadowblade) and Lich, baiting people till it's 3 or more and doing "Death" combo.
Beast Master letting Naix ride in his eagle with Tinker ready to TP in.
Those things are fun, but people would rather think that match id is all they can have in common with teammates.
I might sound naive, hoping for people to change the way they've been playing multiplayer vidya for years, but I think Valve didn't make "Socialize" area for nothing. Hopefully Gabe will make Dota 2 a better place.
i hope reports actually means something in the end
No I actually mean real, gameplay-based skill.
Things like sniper running straight into ganks (he lost his aegis that way by getting slaughtered at mid tower), zero denies, Sven running too far ahead when underleveled, sniper using his ult too early, enemies targeting heroes instead of rax, Furion staying close to his Q instead of backing out of Drow's range, etc etc. While yes the teamwork also wasn't there, the skill wasn't either.
So yes, when you say "you never know what you're gonna get," you're right. But any sort of upperhand our enemy had was lost when their actual, legitimate ability to play the game skillfully was unfounded. Those early (and mid, and late) game ganks against DK shut down their 2nd carry, and DK's numerous deaths throughout the game were almost always from his poor grasp of the meta-game. The enemy's tank, Sven, lost his ability to kill me from the game, because his abilities were not leveled properly and any sort of attack mid/late-game against me was more than likely going to end in his death due to either my move speed or my DPS from manta (and later daed). Without the proper skill, the strategic advantage crumbles.
Yeah don't get me wrong, Dire did a lot right, but it was all of that stupid shit that cost them the game. They had several opportunities to push mid and break mid's defenses, but for some reason they did not follow through.
I have a 4 day break.
I'm ready for this update!
And this is why a 4man lvl 1 rosh strat with immediate push works so well. If the enemy team were organised the strategy would get fucked up so bad, but everyone either leaves or goes "what do" while standing at mid tower.
Anyone got a good guide for Drow?
She is my favorite Hero but I still kinda suck as her.
Silence and Frost Arrows first. Aura is useless at lower levels. Don't get it. Shadow Blade is an easily countered waste of gold. Get a Yasha, built it into a Manta, big damage items after that.
fart fart fart
Also our group now has a teamspeak
Here's the IP:
Teamspeak 3 > 18.104.22.168 > Bottom of the list > Lolicon Jail~ (dota2)
* pass: tango
It'll also help you chase down those escaping targets that are just out of range of a Frost Arrow.
