Does anyone want to help me learn the game a bit more? I'll probably be playing for the next couple of hours if you guys do. I have experience with mobas, so I won't be completely retarded.

Quoting again due to a recent game with Reimu, no one talks. No one calls ss, and when they do they're late and we're already dead.
How I truly feel playing this game sometimes.

Just played tiny in a pub for the first time. Fun hero. I was picking off their squishy heroes like it was nothing. Outworld didn't stand a chance once I hit level 8.
Also I loved how my craggy exterior was stunning ursa every time he attempted to kill me.

Just tell me he didn't lane against you, because if so, then I guess he didn't abuse Astral Imprisonment.
Tiny with no mana early is useless like a rock.

Have you guys ever played just for fun? It seems like every game I go into, everyone is looking to win, I mean yeah that's fine, I used to get really really mad at losing, but once you start not worrying about if you're going to lose and start trying to have fun, the game is so much more enjoyable. Played as kunkka last game, I did pretty subpar and Kunkka is a bad hero, but its actually FUN to start goofing off and trying to hit near impossible torrents with a team of no stuns.

So I Had enough time for one game of Dota this morning.
I decided to random for the hell of it and get Lina.
By 12-15 mins we had taken a barracks down.
None of their guys left until we were halfway trough the second barracks at 17 mins ish.
However mid game that warlock spouted a load of stuff In russian along with "Lina N00b" He then asked everyone playing to "Report Lina plz plz plz!"
It's people like that who ruin these games, even if they are good players.

That's because we has pushed so hard, so early i wanted to just get back into the fight and keep the pressure on.

Try out other heroes, you may find more easy to play.

Funny story, those were from a streak a month or so ago when i became determined to learn how to play invoker.
I eventually got the hang of him after three wins where I was genuinely useful.
Form then on I decided that I would try lots of other hero's so I don't get "over specialised" in Invoker.
And tornado + EMP is overated.
I work best with Cold snap, Forge spirits and maximum damage (full exort) You do damn near 200 damage a shot THEN you add in the buffs you get form items THEN you ad the damage from two forged spirits THEN you take into account the armour reduction the spirits dish out.
I should really play him some more.

Although Cold Snap and Forge spirits is nice, it doesn't allow you to be as effective in team battles as Quas and Wex.
And ganks are more efficient too. Exort/Quas is more, kill the target as fast as you can.

Nah, it's actually just really, really good.
Although EMP isn't really worth it unless there is a big push coming from the enemy, or you're teamfighting, it is still incredibly powerful when used. Tornado + Cold Snap is incredible for ganking. Tornado to let your allies get in position and deal significant damage, and Cold Snap to ensure a target's death if he's being attacked by two or more people. The MS from Wex lets you gank quickly, and you've got Ice Wall and Deafening Blast that are very effective regardless of Exort's level.
On another note, laning as Obsidan/Outworld Destroyer against a Skeleton King is pretty fun!
Something pretty important is missing here...

Tried Chen for the 1st time in a real game.
Didn't do half-bad, went 1/6/18, altough DK kept farming centaurs and trolls in the forest so I couldn't convert them.
Loved the epic saves made by E, Drow getting raped by Doom, np I just send her back to base.
Did a base+hook combo once also with pudge, laughs were had.
