I played a pub game with my friends (who're supposed to be good at Dota) a while ago and it was atrocious.

Yes! I complained about this at dev.dota2, and the response was 90% "yeah, there should be an option to disable direct movement through the map" and 10% "Wow, I guess I just assumed people would be good enough to not do that."
C'est la vie.

I very rarely use the map for movement, only for pinging and checking for missing heroes. Would be cool with an option to allow movement through it.

My first ever pub match I was told by the OD at mid that he was going to "rape me sideways" for killing him. I politely informed him after the match that it was my first ever match, if that made him feel any better.

I'm also polite unless I'm playing against invisible blinking gankers. Those guys piss me off to no end

How do I get good team mates? Why is the enemy always 100 times better than the people I get on my team?

About the beta-key spreading.
For every key they send to anybody, a single Russian gets one too. It feels like this anyways.
