Is it just me or does valve go through extreme lengths to sell 40k games?
The amount of sales 40k games get on Steam is surprising.

Its THQ that promotes the sales I think.

Game sales sell and that gives them more profit, especially seeing steam games charge full retail price usually without losing the costs for box and disc production. So really thinking about it they're usually selling their games (on sale) at digital price. Depends on how much the sale is though, half price is usually the correct digital price.

    Edited:

There's a free multiplayer weekend for retribution too.

The sales are getting a bit repitive, but i guess i can understand that they'll still need funds until they release DoW3/CoH2/DMO.

Anything is cheaper than a Games Workshop model. In the store I was at yesterday, there was a console argument. Someone was saying that Xbox live is massively overpriced as they bought a Land Raider for 41. Xbox Live costs 40.

Well the problem with Xbox Live is its a constant payment monthly/yearly while the land raider was a one off payment. There is that argument that once you have an army its constantly re-playable compared console games that you pay about 45 for each and probably finish in a few hours or over a week unless it has multiplayer (and some companies charge you to even play that).

oh i was wondering what happened to old thread but now i know what do you people do when painting lust dissapears because you picked bad color scheme but dont want to strip old models because you still like to keep old ones to see progress? is it ok lore wise to perhaps paint new color scheme for marines and also maybe just making chapter with a few other chapters in them?
to clarify i mean i will keep the marines i have now, black and white ones, but paint new marines in new scheme, and then do i think maybe 6-10 in new color scheme then change color scheme again, so marine chapter i have will be a ragtag group of chapters who maybe have lost too many space marines but join together to still continue fight?

i have also made song for you people that i think sounds warhammer40k but only bad thing is quality of instruments are pretty bad with bad guitar and bass and drums played with electronic kit, but i still think its good song and i hope you like

Punctuation and capital letters are your friends. With that out of the way, yes, you could have a ragtag army of marines from different chapters, but at least in my opinion your army would look much better with a coherent colour scheme. Even rabble-style armies (Orks, for example), tend to share a few primary colours that really tied the various different units together and make it look like you're fielding a coherent force on the tabletop. If you want to be able to compare old painting with new, I suggest either photographing the painted ones and then stripping them, or just keeping one or two and stripping the rest. Marines are expensive, and it's better to improve old models than buy new ones, in general.

Give us an idea of your new colour scheme and we might be able to be more helpful.

I feel like giving Space Marine's multiplayer a little more playtime, but what DLC's should I buy? None of the loyalist map packs really interest me, but so far I am thinking of getting the Alfa Legion and the Emperors Children/Iron Warriors skin packs. I was just wondering if Chaos Unleashed map pack is worth it? I haven't tried exterminatus mode at all.

blood ravens armour is whatever armour happens to be lying around at the time

the average artificer armoured marine has about a 30% chance of being a blood raven with his relics

Gabriel destroyed an artifact called the Maledictum with a hammer called God Splitter which he got off an inquisitor called Toth, when he destroyed the Maledictum it essentially released the demon from within the artifact, because of the heretical activity on Cyrene, it was sentenced to exterminatus.
In Retribution, it becomes clear that Kyras became possessed by the demon that Gabriel released, Gabriel essentially set the events into motion because he was the one who released the demon who corrupted Kyras. Aurelia is sentenced to Exterminatus because of the fact that Kyras had fallen to Chaos, so basically, Gabriel has a bigger part in Retribution than you may have thought.
TL:DR     Gabriel destroys artifact>demon is released>demon possesses Kyras.
DoW1 and DoW2 Retribution spoilers above.
