So I got bored and wrote a stupid 500 point SPESS MEHREENS list:
HQ:
*Master of the Forge: Storm bolter. - 105 points
TROOPS:
*Scout Squad: Missile launcher, Camo cloaks (all 5), Sarge has meltabombs -100 points
*Scout Squad: Missile launcher, Camo cloaks (all 5), Sarge has meltabombs -100 points
HEAVY SUPPORT:
*Techmarine and thunderfire cannon - 100 points
*Predator: autocannon and heavy bolters sponsons - 85 points
Works out to be exactly 500.
The master of the forge and the techmarine with the thunderfire cannon fortify some cover so the scouts can have a 2+ cover save. The scouts have snierrifles because they aren't moving with those missile launchers anyways (and hey, rending is always nice). The meltabombs and storm bolter are there because I had 15 points to waste.

Jokes aside, I have seen a few women in the LGS, but mainly as one of the RPers or they are mothers/girlfriends of some guy who is playing. Haven't seen a woman play WH or WH40k, though.

Though last time I went to the LGS to magnetize my old metal Deff Dread, Stompy McKillington, was during "Friday Night Magic" and everyone who walked by me looked at me like I was a leper or something.

I won't lie, I do dislike tournaments of any sort, mainly because they mean that casual 40k players won't be around for long nor in great numbers.

I only like the campaign-based tournaments, like that Black Crusade one. God, I got my ass handed to me by some heretics in that campaign.

I only entered a tournament once, as Tyranids, and got paired with another Tyranid player (it was a team 2v2 thing). Let's just say we rammed more Genestealers up their ass than the sun produces Helium.

I think I need to figure out how to sculpt faces because the head I have from the terminator kit is just too small of a scale for Magnus.
Its like those illustrations of space marines where there head is pea sized compared to the huge torso they have.

Can anyone else see the Tau doing something like the Cybermen from Doctor Who? I could see Tau Firewarriors replacing all (or the majority) of themselves with Cybernetic parts in order to increase their combat abilities, sacrificing themselves for the Greater Good.
Fighting is pretty much all the Firecaste does. I could see them willing to give up things such as emotions if it meant they would become better warriors and benefit the empire more. It would look cool and add some more Grim-dark to the Tau, which would be nice.

I wouldn't like to see total robotic conversion, as that's too grimdark, and the Tau are supposed to be the lightest grey of the bunch.
But some augmentations would be good.
