I uninstalled the game because it didn't work and now I can't even install it...

So after playing this game all of last night, I'm suitably impressed. I unlocked the sentinel class, and, to be honest, I wish he had a longer scope range. Sniping is a pain in the ass when your enemies are pushing 430 sanics.

He's right about the expensive part though. If you use Tribes Gold it's $10 per weapon.

As a newbie to the Tribes franchise, I have to say that I am very impressed with the game.
From my understanding the game is much slower and requires much less skill than Tribes 1 and 2, but It all feels so much more competitive than most multiplayer games I'm used to.

I haven't been playing long, started about a week before the new update, save dup enough for pathfinder and has a blast.
I understood that I'd have a pretty huge disadvantage being a new player when playing after the update, so I held off playing until about an hour ago, booted it up and decided to upgrade pathfinder a bunch, with the 58k XP I received from my tokens.
(I have gotten very good playing Pathfinder, having been matched against people who are mostly three/four times my own level. I'm only level 7.)
All the games I've played have involved my team and the enemy team being at the very least half thumper wielding techs throwing down turrets everywhere.
I started attempting to grab and cap the flags.

Halo was the first thing I thought of as well, but then I realized how much more fun Tribes was and that comparison evaporated.

Halo was heavily inspired from the first tribes games, anyway. Just, slow. And not fun.

I can definitely see how Halo borrowed from Tribes.
As an ex-console scrub I can say that even though Halo is a very slow game its probably one of the few multiplayer console game that actually takes a degree of teamwork and skill to be good at.
For a console game, anyway.

So I just played a game where one jug with the new mirv weapon from the other side of the map spammed his mirv launcher at my base for 10 minutes making it impossible for anyone to even go next to it.

They put up a HUD icon when an enemy is nearby and they sap the energy of any enemies nearby.

I installed it, booted it up, logged in. But no cursor to accept the ToS! So I googled it, and it said I gotta validate the files.
And now it's "repairing" with the same speed as the initial download. Seriously?
So now it's pretty much just downloading the entire fucking game again because of a missing cursor.

Is there something really weird about the way the mouse works in this game, or am I just bad at aiming? Or is it that the Phase Rifle has a dropoff or projectile delay that I'm not aware of? Because I'm hitting all the shots that I think I missed and missing all the ones that should've hit.

It's not like it's downloading the whole game again for a missing cursor file or something, it means that all your textures and such are corrupted and that it needs to re download all that is corrupted.

Can you tell me how to use it properly then? I'm serious. I don't see how it's efficient in any way. I already use the capacitor perk to get my max damage up to 510, but even then, the maximum damage I can dish out in a shot is 510, and that means I need 3 shots and the waiting time to get my energy back to full for the second shot to kill a medium enemy. And any shot I take without having full energy is essentially a waste of ammo, so I can't use my jetpack as much as I need to to have proper movement.

As a technician player, I think our turrets need a nerf. They fire way too fast, and grouped together turrets can be incredibly deadly. I played a match of Arx Novena where nobody could get into our base withotu getting murdered by turrets. Right now, turrets fire much too fast and they need a slower fire rate - perhaps 50% fire rate seeing as they do 65 damage, which is lower than the TCN SMG.

Why do people keep saying Light Turrets need a nerf? They are a defensive item that players deploy. Alone, a single turret does 65 damage and can be pretty much insta-killed by any explosive weapon.
Yeah, in groups they are nasty, but isn't that the point? Guess what, everything is nasty when in groups. Get a bunch of Sentinels on your team and you have claymores up the ass and no one can even move.
It's called defending for a reason. You're saying you want things to be nerfed so the enemy can raid your base? Wtf.

I wish they had a server browser. It would be so awesome to have everyone on facepunch on one server. I guess if everyone gave each other friend requests it would be possible.

Oh and why is it that I can manage to kill fucking heavies by myself with the Phase Rifle, but everytime I drag a medium or light guy down to lik, 9 or 10 % HP, none of my teammates feel like they have to shoot them one fucking time to kill them and give me my damn assist?
