By the way all of those above photos were taken in the walled garden in Worcester which my grandparents run. Have a visit if you're nearby

Decided to give my new Mark ii a whirl in the studio with one of my friends.
finally got all my ~arty~ shots from my london trip up, will post them all over the next few days:
Uploaded these pictures a while ago on my flickr, but didn't bother posting them here.
This was mainly a testcase to test out my new Minolta Rokkor 58mm f/1.2 on my 40D. I love the colour rendering of this lens.

But I'd say there should be a greater difference between the background colour and the hair colour of the model, and those short pieces of his arms that we see are sort of distracting to me.
it differs by state, but in general you can take pictures of people in public spaces as long as it's for personal use and you're not making money
yeah what penguinkris said
Here in Norway, you're allowed to post photos of people either if they are a "public person", basically like celebrities or someone else who a lot of people might be interested in seeing photos of, or if the individual in the photo is not relevant for the subject. For instance a large gathering of people, or a photo where the main subject is something else.
The lines here for what is allowed and what is not are quite vague though.
