My first two tries at light painting, what do you guys think?

Fanatec Wheel by Emanuele Monaco

My first light painting test.

Made with a cheap 3 led light.

The wheel is not straight (must have bumped into it while lighting the scene) and it's also a bit "dirty" but oh well.

Second attempt at light painting.

This is made of multiple shots merged together. (the place was too bright to do it in a single shot)

This was a rough test, the composition is sort of random and the car was dirty, but I like it overall!

Don't be jelly, it's their cheapest model (the Carrera) it was like 99 euro / 99$, I'm pretty sure the DFGT it's about the same price.

blur it? it's just the sky so it wouldn't be noticeable.

you can't really, color banding is a limitation of pretty much all digital cameras

Don't feel like that! This is a place to learn, we're all here to learn. I've learnt so much from this forum and it would be a shame for you to miss out on that because you don't feel like you can post your photos.

Anyway about your photo, them tones just around the moon are fantastic. Would be great if you could get to a higher point and take the photo without the foreground. Although i like the sign on the left.

Was actually wondering before.. how are these photos created? tripod and bulb setting with a long exposure overlooking a highway? any setting in particular you need for these photos to work?

tripod, manual mode, iso 100, f/8 or so, choose the right exposure for the scene (make it line up on the exp scale) and two second timer to remove any camera shake when you press the button

I forgot to top up the oil on my bike, so I had to ride the whole way home worrying my bike was about to die when I went up hills (as the little oil I had left goes to the back of the tank).

maybe your isp is being a dick and quietly compressing all jpegs a little bit more

O2 do that (if you're connecting through a phone), though it's way more obvious because they must have set the quality to something like 2/10

Created a makeshift battery for an Old DAT recorder. It's battery is completely dead and just strapping a load of D-cells together got it up and running.

i can barely see it on my shitty secondary, but it's p obvious on my ips monitor
if you can't see it you're either in bad lighting conditions or you have a poorly calibrated/shit monitor
or you have poor eyesight
