I really wish people would stop cutting off their blacks. I'm just so bored of that, everyone and their mom does it and with the rise of instagram and the alikes it really lost all retro or artistic or moody meaning it once had remembering us off old pictures that lost their grip, their freshness.
I understand that it takes the tension out of the picture and transports that "old" and "earthed" message but for years photographers have been trying to get as much different tones of dark and light into pictures as possible, the digital photography provoked a vintage trend and now we are trying to make pictures look as shallow as possible because of "hey I like that look"...
Sorry 'bout the large dump, just got 2 rolls developed, first pictures with my 50mm f/1.4 Super Takumar.

Couple prom shots.
First one used the brenizer method. Worked okay I think

Digging that flare actually
Those are sweet. 1000000000000x better than the shit that the ~official photoraphers~ would give with their studio flashes in-front of a cheesy background
Shoot in pitch black.
You might be cutting of the blacks though so you could be called a hipster.
Use tape or re-seal/have it re-sealed.
we had one of those for our school ball
the photos are all kinda shitty...
The live photos are all bad, the staged were okay but the photographers all wanted these really un-natural looking poses, really ruins the "couple" feel of them
So I went out of the country this weekend, got some awesome shots!
A panorama shot of a piece of the land on which we stayed for the night.

This is a local on the top of the highest point in Africa (where we went), it's called the Sani Pass. 9 degrees Celsius, with the wind it felt like -2. It was fucking cold.

This is the road before the actual pass starts.

Just found this on a shitty point and shoot I used ages ago...
Very nice indeed. The fact that it's slightly off-centre bothers me, but it's a great photo.
I feel it should be a little more to one side, going by the rule of thirds anyway.

Took this one night, goofing around with 20-25sec shutter times and an LED flashlight. Ran it through bleach bypass in Lightroom, which I now really enjoy. It makes uploading/importing so much easier, especially when dealing with RAW.
I really like the light in the top left.
I thought i was in the 3D thread for a second and was looking at a render of the Stanford Dragon![]()
It's actually the exact same thing, but an actual statue from what I see online.

I'd love to have that dragon on my desk, along with a Utah teapot :p

Forgot to post these yesterday, but I was so tired when I was done I just fell asleep on my couch.

There's like 5 more on the Flickr page but these are the ones I liked the most, and I don't want to stretch the page with content I find pretty "meh" myself.
Any CC is much appreciated. The 2nd image was a brenzier attempt.

even in this context.
They're trees. The camera has been violently tipped forward and backward to blur the trees vertically when taking the shot.
HOW IS THAT BIKE STANDING UP? /all caps scared
I'm playing with those extension tubes (which sadly have their release mechanisms broken and can't be used one at a time) and the 50mm and it's like I'm holding a goddamned microscope.
