Can someone give me some tips at posing in Garrys Mod? I have read tutorials but I don't understand how TF2's human body works.

I will never be good at photoshop, and seeing pictures like this pains me. The posing is great and realistic, the faceposing is decent, but what makes everyone fawn over it is the photoshopping of the image.
Also, the picture would look a lot better without the random lens flare.

yup, the dude's a photoshop god, I belive he posted a picture of his actual in-game look once and it was no AA, D3D8, etc.
pretty sure almost everything is painted over haha

First pose, any tips to make it better?
Sniper's posing is weird but i really couldn't think of a more realistic pose to put him in. Also, this is the correct place to post this sort of stuff, right?

So I'm goofing around the Gmod Beta and noticed the face flexes have no limits (the "randomize expression" button normally produces a mess of polygons instead of the usual "gaping-mouth" rapefaces). This means faceposing can be more versatile, but it's more unpredictable and can easily go out of control.
For example: I tried to pose some normal faces, but instead of having normal features, they came out like this:
Behold! HWM Faces 2.0! Now on normal models too!

Yeah, like that, but much more exaggerated. The face flexes can extend so much the polygon mess can be more big than the ragdoll body itself

...and this is with a face setting all the way to the minimum

This can be easily fixed, however, you only have to set that thing at the top of the faceposer tool that goes from 0 to 20 to a value near 1, and you can facepose more or less like normal
Pressing "Randomize expression" and with that general setup on 1 you get the usual vagineer face:
If you set it to the max (20), however, you get this:
Boy, this is going to be fun, shame the Eye Poser seems broken and I can't find that bone stretching tool Garry was talking about

Seeing as you lot are enjoying the new faceposer, I hope you like the TF2 map icons and find them useful.

Bring up the context menu and right click on a ragdoll and select 'Edit Bones'
Your icons look better than the icons i got from garrysmod.org, so thanks for that :D

Ok, now I see the bones and some arrows (that I'm supposed to grab). How do you do the stretching or manipulating work? Selecting the arrows and trying to grab them or use the mouse wheel does nothing (It works at least in SOME bones, like the helmet, but in others it doesn't. Maybe it has to do with the beta status or I'm doing something wrong)
