Why would that be cocky? A mod didn't come and lock it for being a crap thread or anything. It autolocked entirely with the intention of a new one being made.

Personally I open gifs in Photoshop, export as PNG sequence and then put them together with this because it has a lot of options regarding optimization/compression/timings.
