Gave all the bearings another lube-up and that seems to have really reduced the sound, so when I order some new wheels, I'll add a cleaning kit.

I know I'm late to the game, but I figured since I'm new to this thread I'll put in my two cents. I could give two fucks if you smoke weed, as long as you don't do it around me and you're enjoying the sport. It's not like they're giving the sport a bad name.

I've decided that I dislike top mounts. I think it's cause of my short legs. I can't get a good kick that will let me coast long enough :/
Also disliking stiffer decks because of how much bumpier the ride is for me.

I live near orlando ( I can see fireworks from disney at night) . I'll be on the lookout for parking garages, but all I'm around is houses pretty much.
Before I get an opportunity to get into long boarding, I might try skateboarding again, the last time I went skateboarding it was really hot and the skate park wasn't the great, nobody was there. After that bad experience, I stopped.

Almost ate shit in front of a woman walking her kid in a stroller at the bottom of a hill after school today, hit 30.2mph, went through some pebbles and began to wobble, stood up and spread my arms and regained control.
I need to find some better hills.

I got it on craigslist for $100 with orangatangs/bear trucks a while ago and replaced the bushings(venom red/yellow) and bearings(ebay 5$), great intro to longboarding/DH
I abuse it erryday and get it soaked/sandy often. I've only lubed the bearings once with lithium grease when I bought them, they still roll great. Thinking of getting a new board and wheels, then painting the trucks in various layered colors for a "jawbreaker" effect once I grind curbs or whatever. Need a new deck since it's starting to splinter and the mounting holes are enlarging, causing it to crabwalk a little. I could get an identical JET board but any cheap alternatives would be nice.
also Florida has no hills but parking garages can be challenging if you find the right ones

Haha second run of my day after work. Going 20-25 getting ready to pull a BIG heelside check, oh wait is that fucking salt patches on the road? Let me just fuck you up and launch you into a superman. Landed on my left shoulder but regained composure to slide on on my pucks and shoes. Probably gonna have a big bruise but fuck it because I got the hell back up and went to town on some toeside checks.

You should look at silverfishlongboarding.com in the florida section and see if you can meetup with some orlando riders. They'll teach you how to skate well and all the spots.

to each his own, try a deck with hemp in it. Its suppose to dampen the ride. Soda factory lambchop is my suggestion.
