That's to be expected, though. Making maps like this is a lot easier than creating a whole mod for Skyrim.

Because Skyrim's Creation Kit is very hard to work with. Slow, unpredictable, finicky.
But more importantly, it's not drag and drop like this is.
"500 new posts what?!?!? Oh, yes, the PeTI was released today..."
I'm probably late, but I like how in the DLC, you are the small Aperture Science figure thingy.
I keep getting this error
what do
Verify game cache. Had it happen to me, that fixed it
worked, Thank you so much dude![]()
I like it
Edit:
Also, I'm out of town, and I see the DLC shipped, and the gross amount of tests that have been uploaded... wow
that's great, good to see people getting into it, but I fear for the n00bs who are now making and rating maps, truely good puzzles may never get the credit they deserve because n00bs wont rate up maps they cant solve, and super easy dumb maps will get the upvote from n00bs =\
I was a beta tester on this project for the past 2-3 months, and its really great to see it ship now :)

Nothing special but I had alot of fun making it so far :D
It's only a small portion of what the entire level is going to be. Feel free to comment.
Portal 2 isn't even loading for me. Process starts. Process dies. I'm rather pissed off and about to do something insanely irrational if this doesn't get fixed soon.
L4D2 launches fine. TF2 launches fine. Portal 2 doesn't launch. Process starts, process dies.
UPDATE: Figured it out. It was AMD's fault. At least I know what to set on fire now, should the occasion ever repeat itself.
Now to begin testing once again. :D
It crashes on rebuild.
What do?
Validate the Cache files.
Right Click Portal 2 > Properties > Local Files > Validate Cache
I've done that twice.
Found a trick how to make a button stay on after it has been activated, simply link it to a cube dispenser with a cube pressure plate under it, then link whatever you want to the plate
Apparently quite difficult, couldn't figure out how to get the door to open.
Yes! It's working! Making chambers is hella fun, and playing them is great! We'll never (read: at least a year) run out of content for Portal 2.

Massive chamber, More or less me testing how well it runs with a shitload of crap.
It runs terribly, Editor framerate takes a massive hit.
Ingame is fine though.
It's basically heaps of mini tests in a big test.
i wish you could be more precise when placing turrets, i made turret bowling but the turrets were all to far apart for it to be fun
Failed to publish file! Error 16
help
Does anybody know how to make buttons toggle in the editor? I can make them stay on forever, but then they don't shut off.

I made a test chamber
I had been messing around with the idea in my mind all day, unfortunately the restricted height limited me a little.
Basically, you do the entire test in a tractor beam.
Yes, you can exit it of course, but if you do you'll go hurtling down into the toxic water below
Or dodge a puzzle but who wants to do that.
Also it IS possible to screw yourself out of victory, pretty easily in fact (accidentally spilling the last cube into the water) but if you do that you'll find out about it soon enough since you die 5 seconds later.
I've also run into problems where it was possible for me to complete the puzzle in more than one way, so I just turned it into a feature. The only real bug you COULD have is that the turret may, during its frenzy after being knocked over, end up killing you anyway. Reaction times, man.
Edited:
my only gripe with it at the moment is the lack of decoration of any kind.
I've toyed with the idea of using puzzle objects in places where they aren't needed, like a glass panel that simply acts as another portion of wall, constantly turned off tractor beams or (my personal favourite) a cleansing water dispenser pouring into a pool of toxic water.
could someone gift me portal 2 ): its so cheap :c
i just got scammed :c
my steam is crisp89
Hahahah!
Haa ha ha!
No.

Really love this editor, much simpler than Hammer even though Hammer is so simple too, really helps in making these levels because I can just compile it and test it on the go
Apparently in my game, Chell never escaped...I loaded a test chamber I made and there she was. Isn't it supposed to be Bendy?![]()
were you testing a map you were making or playing one from th queue
because when testing it's Chell
Learn some patience. It hasn't crashed.
Activision - Make 10-30$ dlc that only has like 3 maps
Valve - Fuck that shit were giving everyone a free map maker.
Hm. The game has frozen, sounds have repeated, and the game has closed altogether.
Guess I'll wait for it to magically appear again!
Edited:
This is only a problem with one of my maps. Any conceivable errors that would cause it to do this?
If it's so cheap you can buy it yourself!
The stick figure is called Bendy?
I made 2 maps

What does "Allow Streaks" in gel dropper's properties mean?
Wow, that Simplified map was really well done. It looked so simple, yet the solution was far from obvious.
It makes the gel flow across a surface if it hits it at an angle, atleast I think so
Found a bug. Retracting a deployed panel beneath a cube causes it to float in mid-air. Kind of rendered my whole test virtually useless because trying to unstick it just ends up with it stuck beneath the panels.
Oh well. Here it is, I'm interested in whether it'll happen for everyone else too.
