On my birthday I got my first android phone, the samsung galaxy gio

It is definitely a great mini pocket phone, I love it however the RAM is small, screen is small and it is a little laggy.

I've installed a custom ROM to make it go faster animation wise and just program wise and so far it is yet to disappoint me

Is there any helpful tips to make the most out of my ram, I've got advanced task killer but is there more I can do

    Thanks :D

Android handles RAM management itself, you don't need any application killers. If you use those you're just going to end up draining battery life. The small amount of RAM shouldn't be any problem unless you're a heavy multitasker

I just use my phone for texting, calling, facebook and twitter. It doesn't have a lot of ram though and sometimes goes sluggish

You could try overclocking it. Search online first to see what the maximum speed people could get out of it first, then set it to that
