Now I know what you're thinking... "Oh god not another madness interactive, most fan made ones of rovar's suck..." Well I am a fan of rovar's work, his Madness Survival Interactive was/is amazing. I may be new to this site, but I promise that I will actually try to make this interactive quality and entertaining. Thanks.

    How It'll Work:
    - Just tell me what ya want the character to do, etc.
    - For the most part this will have serious situations. There won't be any BS situations where you magically survive somehow.
    - Anything (for the most part) can happen. But if something non-relevant happens too often I'll have to do something about it.
    - There are no set plans for this interactive. Players will mostly have total control over the character so please be descriptive in your requests!
    - I do have a life outside of my internet adventures (not a very active one though) so I will probably only be able to update this a few times a day.
    - Please don't be goofy and absurd with your requests! (At least not too much any way...)
    - THERE WILL BE SITUATIONS IN WHICH YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE. Keep the character alive, don't let him die cuz I ain't bringin' him back! (At least not for this interactive)
-NOTE: I will type out what the character sees/notices beneath the photo most of the time.

P.S. Yes you do begin with a magical four-slot inventory...

You spot blood on the wall behind you, some boxes, a door with a green light indicating it is unlocked, and two shelves. There is a blade on one of the shelves. You appear to be in some sort of storage room.

Hmm.. look in the boxes then take that knife.

    Edited:

Also I think four slots for our inventory is a bit too little. Make it like 10 or something.

    Walk over.

    Take the blade.

Raise it to your non-existent throat.

Then, do the world a favour,

    and kill yourself.

Alternatively, lick the blood, spit it onto the blade, cut yourself a little to get the adrenaline flowing, and walk through the door, preparing to go on an insanity-fuelled rampage.

Advice time: if you want your madness interactive to be anywhere near successful, you are going to have to take great pains to pull it off. I'd suggest original artwork done in MSPaint, some structure, and your own spin on things. Right now, it seems to be a clone of rovar's right down to 'you are a madness character who just woke up in a room', save for the fact that there is no plot device save an unlocked door and bloodstain, nothing to maintain my interest in this, and indications of greater laziness than any other interactive to date. Tomtyke's interactive was much more than a clone of rovar's in that it added his own story, his own artwork and different ways of introduction to new plot elements. You yourself should lurk way more. Have you seen the other clones? Did you see how poorly they turned out? Did you see everything that everyone said about madness interactives and just go "yep, this will be different" without making any sort of concious effort to make it different? Anyway, if you had something in mind other than another featureless room and decide to go from there, I and many others are sure to eat this stuff up. I wish you and your interactive the best.

I apologize, I'm just using this as a kick-start to even see if I could pull it off, I was planning to use my own art after this one... I didn't mean to offend. I do appreciate the advice though, it does mean a great deal to me. I have not seen any of the clones to be honest with you, I just know there are very many. I will do some browsing and research upon the ones which you have mentioned.

Although, might I ask, would it bother you if I continued this one as practice?

I would. Everyone needs practice, my first interactive was with stickfigures, and it made past page 10. So why not?

You do not notice anything else than what you've seen.

@TheSporeGa It is possible to obtain more inventory spaces later on, I personally think that four inventory spaces to start off with without some sort of bag is pushing it. But whatever...

Do what Krinkels said with the spitting on the blade thing. Go through the door with your adrenaline rushing.

I'll try to squeeze another one or two in for tonight, I am trying to do multiple things at once and get to bed... If I don't get to tonight then I will get to it in the morning and there will be more to follow in the afternoon...

    Keep the requests coming!

Use the boxes in the other room to make a staircase. If you cannot do that, check what that blue thing over there is.

Insensitive prick.Haven't you ever experienced a bad Valentine's day yourself?

Anyway, use the two upright metal rods which were holding up the caution sign as support in order to get to the ladder.

It's a joke you fucking idiot. You really do lack a sense of humor. Two times you have done that now, and please put a space after your punctuations. It's hard to read.

    I'm an alright artist.

But I'm a much better story writer. What I lacked in good aesthetics I guess I made up in story telling. Here's a few tips:

    - Use devices such as leaning towards not telling the player what's going on, but let them figure it out for themselves. If they are aware of what's going on, they'll be that much more interested in the story.

    - Update as often as possible. I may not have had the best art, but I updated enough to give the viewers more of a sense of engagement, like they were more like in a video game. Quick, fast, actions with little wait times. I'm not saying make yours visually unappealing, just update enough to hold their interest.

    - Break away from the norm. Get creative, seriously. Go nuts. If you trap yourself in someone else's style and story, you have no room for improvement in regards to your own abilities and the story's. Make it yours.

    - Portray characters as if you were the audience. Make it appealing to them, because they will not always see things the way you do.

    - Have fun with it. You don't need to make this to appease us, it is for your enjoyment as well. Not only that but your are practicing skills which is good.

Message me if you need anymore help. (:

    Yo, Cyanide.

From what I've experienced, if your fans are loyal they won't care if you don't update because you are sick or if there are issues. You come before your viewers.

Many a time I couldn't update and my viewers never got mad (most of time time) when I didn't update.

Well after a shit week I am back, I don't know what to do with this interactive... I'm trying to decide if I'll keep going with this one or do another one...

(The other one I had an idea for is Gmod based...)

Gmod interactives die really fast on Facepunch. I would keep this.
