Your stuff is bloody fantastic, just try to add more low end stuff (EG: Sub basses, etc.) and you could be proffesional producing quality, great work my friend.

I thought that I did. I'll roll off the high ends on some instruments, We'll see from there.

Which songs do you think need bass or stonger EQ'ing on the bass? I'm a little bit too Jumbly with low ends.

    Also thanks for the support.

Well, any song, really. It's not just EQ'ing, you seem to lack any kind of Sub bass at all, just experiment.

I added more sub, and EQ'd most of the high ends off. some of the sounds might still be a little muddy, I'm having trouble with an instrument near the end.
I also changed the tempo to 127 instead of 137.

Pretty good, just lower your high end a couple of notches, and it'll be even better, but great job!

Your stuff is amazing, but it's really missing some kind of flow to it, maybe try using sweeps (filtered white noise, etc.) and effects, because I really like your songs, I do, it's just that you need to sustain a constant flow, I'm kind of a hypocrite because my songs don't flow very well, but I'm sure you have the skills to do it!

Thanks man! i'll try to make a new track to focus on the effects and maybe some noise, i kinda did that in Constitutionalized to give a sad rainy feeling.

Also go Ron Paul! If anyone supports him.
Also here is one of my first ableton works. i posted it before but its my personal favorite. as well as my old album CACABEATS
    First song on ableton:

Tracks like this are so close to being really great. I'm not to sure what's missing though.
But it may be a big chunk of the low end explained earlier. But to be honest you could blame that on your speakers or whatever.

What are you using to demo your tracks on? Monitor wise.

    I'm using Ableton live

I'm using two sets of BX1220 altec speakers(fucking limited hertz)
And I'm using a Philips MMS171 subwoofer.(limited sub frequencies' plus they aren't meant to be plugged into those speakers so its odd to get the bass right with the speakers frequency)

I'm also having a terrible problem with how the sound exports, it always compresses or down tunes my tracks when i upload or export

If you have a set or a few sets of headphones. Listen to the track through them. Even if you have a car you can put it in. Then make notes and work on the frequencies accordingly. This is easier said than done but do it enough and you will learn you speakers and know how your track should sound, to sound on all speakers.

I have been listening on different speakers and computers and headphones. I'm starting to realize though that i don't have a lot of sub in my songs in general. That and i have a lot of high end sounds...
I'm starting on one right now so im going to try and see what i can do with the advice you gave me, thanks a lot! Also
I fixed two and added subs.

Sounded a little strong to me, waddya think?

    BUMP new song
I think it reflects on my thrash metal background a little. I played guitar for a 3 years before writing electronic music. I say though it helped me understand scales better

Also the song key is in E so you can play along with it in standard tuning on guitar

Use less skrillexy sounding shit. I liked a lot of them until I heard ROB WOB WOB. And number two is basically Ghosts n Stuff by deadmau5. I'm assuming you listen to both of them a lot.

You're shit is really good though. I like it a lot. Only tips I have to offer is avoid the really spastic melodies and the Skrillex burping noises.

I think deadmau5 sucks ass, Haha Ghosts'n'stuff does sound really similar! i never listened to the song before.
Finally though someone notices that i used a Skrillex-like patch in a couple songs.
All the patches were created by me (or recreated) in either operator or massive.
I do have quite a bit of spastic melodies, i could work on that for my next track.
I'll make a couple more patches.

Also which burp noises do you mean?

In "another subfix", 1:30 to 2:00 has the "Burp" noises I'm talking about. It might just be me, but they seem out of place. What I really, really like is the dubstep styled slow down you have at 0:38-0:52. It's fantastic. Add more bass, harder drum lines, more of that slow down stuff, and less burp and you'll have my new favorite song.

I don't like deadmau5 very much either, his stuff is very boring and repetitive.

2 minutes of kick clap intro
    some synths come in
    song progresses as normal
    the end

    -every deadmau5 song.

"Sucks ass" is pretty strong. I know this is a thread on your music but I'd advise taking a lot from his stuff as even without me being a fan of his music and speaking from a producer's perspective he is one of the best. I'd highly recommend watching some of his ustreams on youtube for just the sheer amount of knowledge he has about music and producing (mind you half is just chatter back to fans).

He really isn't good at all, his music lacks excitement. It's the kind of music that only sounds good if blasted over a giant subwoofer inside of a club.

I don't need to be a world wide music producer to have an opinion on an artist. How about you return to the musician's forum once you can accept that everyone has an opinion regardless if you like it or not.

Yes he is, he basicly created a new electro genre (Kinda), and after that more artists came making better music in his influence. I don't like how his songs start out though but now that im listening more he's growing on me.
ANYWAY, i decided to keep burp noises because that's what i like
I made 4 new patches, the guitar sound is one.
I made the melody a little less spastic too.
    Theres something missing.
    Any suggestions on sound?

Well yer kinda. The old stuff was basicallly progressive house. His new stuff (check out "Maths" and "Professional Griefers") is moving towards some pretty badass electro I think I'd check those two out.
He also has some really beautiful pieces like "Strobe" and "HR 8938 Cephei".

But anyway on to that track. Intro is pretty decent, but I'd try maybe a more sawtooth sounding sound when the kick drops at 0.16. Or even blend 2 patches together. It wil just make it a bit more driving.
Also try put in some sidechained bass. As there doesn't seem to be much of that till later in the track.

With the complextro part try changing the lengths of the notes. As they all seem to be very similar in length and none really strike on the offbeat. Use pauses in between as well to make longer notes stand out too.

Sorry if my explanation is a little off. It's hard to explain it when I can't audition certain things.

I liked it, the melody in the beginning reminded me of a Daggerfall song because every melody does

Thanks for the feedback as well, I made two patches in massive for the Jet noise in the beginning, and the static one too.

I changed the whole drop and i off placed some notes and touched up a little bit of the patches.

IMO, if you had a good, bassy pulse moving throughout your songs they'd sound much better, just keep working on it and practising.

I forgot to eq the low ends from my drop patches and i didn't really look at the spectrum analyzer to layer the bass so thats what i did.
