Finally caught you streaming Wheeze!
So I was really annoyed by a quest and I decided to kill the quest giver and repeatedly hacked his corpse with my axe out of frustration.
So one of my (dedicated) stream viewers decided to cheer me up:
-Continued the intro quest for the luftahraan pirates. (it's not finished)
-Made slight modifications to the docks(some argonian and some mercenaries kept fighting)
-added a bandit faction to the Luftahraan Dockmaster Argonian(to fix conflict between some NPC's I had to spawn for the quest, this should not make him hostile or anything)
We'll need to get quest makers somewhere.
Hey guys, Wheeze apparently didn't know that in the group anyone can invite anyonve
Either just holler to him or me for an invite to the group.
How do I check if a quest alias is inside the players inventory or not?
I am doing a quest where 3 items need to be in the players inventory in order to advance the quest.
So what I am trying to do is that I am trying to apply a script to a alias to check if other aliases exist within the players inventory.
So I have no proper idea on how to go about doing this but what I thought it would look like is something like this:
Code:Scriptname LPGLootPickup1 extends ReferenceAlias Event onContainerChanged(ObjectReference akNewContainer, ObjectReference akOldContainer) if akNewContainer == Game.GetPlayer() if akNewContainer == Alias_RuufgardLoot2.GetReference() if akNewContainer == Alias_RuufgardLoot3.GetReference() GetOwningQuest().SetStage(30) endif endif endif endEvent
But I'm guessing the "if akNewContainer == Alias_RuufgardLoot2.GetReference()" doesn't exactly work. But what I didn't expect was that it responded with an error:
So TL;DR question is basically: What sort of papyrus script do I need/use in order to check if an alias exists within the players inventory? Bear in mind that this script is applied to an alias. (basically 3 items checking if the other 2 are in the players inventory each time their containers get changed)
It seems that quests are really hard. Is it worth putting quests in?
Well yeah, we're hoping to add some quests along with this city. It would pretty underwhelming for anyone downloading this mod for the first time if we didn't.
I'd prefer that we fill all the interiors with the proper npcs and factions and such before moving on to the quests themselves, but either way I'd be happy to provide suggestions.
we don't have a date when we have to deliver
let's do this
We're not shooting for a launch window, unlike Bethesda, so we've got more time to learn the ins and outs of the engine and editor... Probably moreso than the developers themselves! If we're pushing for a quality product here, then we need to make sure it's quality all the way through. That means use as much effort as possible to keep it as interesting and as good as possible, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and synergy and buzzwords.
Also, I'll be home all week, so if you can make me a list of assets you might need, I can take a crack at them. I'm going to be boxing up things for my great uncle (Terminal with leukemia... Selling his stuff to pay his hospital bills, also taking his fridge... Because he has a cool fridge.) until late Monday, so the earliest I can get something to you is on Tuesday. If you need anything, let me know.
We're going to make all the quests required to create a fun and interesting experience. Quests are extremely important.
I mean, he's a pirate after all. We still need to show off that aspect of him.
But I agree with zeldar he is a pirate after all, so he shouldn't talk in rhymes/poems, and especially not in front of the other pirates.
I've sent steam group invitations to most of the recent contributors of Luftahraan.
I also think that it would be useful if we would be in the group conversation as much as possible. This way we can quickly communicate with each other without cluttering up this thread with small talk.
So if anybody wants to join. Just say so in the thread.
Also: Everybody can invite
I suggest to get it organized somebody takes charge and writes down a list of what we have, what we need and then we have a meeting and try to decide things.
- Basically finished the interior of the pristine version of the Lighthouse
- Connected it to the outside world both through the front door and the trapdoor the light.
- Added some special effects (fog, wind gusts etc) to the outside of the lighthouse!
Hey everyone. I am new here. I have been watching Wheeze's stream for a bit now and I have wanted to contribute to the project for a while. I unfortunately don't have a computer that is strong enough to run skyrim or creation kit although I am a fairly a decent writer, I would be happy to lend my voice, I am also an amateur Graphic Designer, and I also know a bit about music and composition so I could probably aid someone who writes some music of some sort. So just let me know if I could help in anyway. Thanks
I'll try to set apart some time this week to craft a storyline for the Pirates Guild on google docs.
So I sort of know the guy who did the Norwegian voice for Timon in Lion King. Could maaaaybe get him to do some voice acting, but I can't promise anything.
Reference (maybe you need a singing bard )
I'm helping my friend make a magical piano/harp instrument with TES theme. Dunno if it could be used.
