Define R3 god case:
I don't think you could actually get a more basic case.
Get whatever case you like. Who cares if its "rice?" These people don't look at the case all day, you do.
No, we don't, because our cases are functional and don't stick out like a giant glowing tumour.
there's a difference between an impressive custom case with several LEDs and a mass produced case full of them
That's actually really cool.
I have that exact case. Besides the drive cage being in the wrong place and obstructing the PCIe slot for long cards, it's an excellent case. I guess another beef would be they're ridiculously expensive.
I find lian-li cases incredibly boring.
I know this is kind of an unpopular opinion here but I like a bit of flare in my cases. Not talking about rice, but just something to make it stand out form all the dull dreary matte black boxes everyone else seems to fancy. Not entirely unrelated, I'm a huge fan of mod cases and just anything that defies the norm when it comes to computer enclosures.
so all ricer cases lack function?

every single one?

"my taste is different from yours your argument is invalid"

Lian Li cases are extraordinarily functional though. I'd still buy one even though I find them dull.
When I decide to chuck my Antec 1200 I think i'm going to get this
Yes, the function of sitting there out of the way, not drawing attention to its-self and doing its job.
Now you're getting it!
Depending on the tires dented rims with a side order of muffler on the floor. Oh the body panels would crack and break lots of fun stuff.
I remember denting my friends muffler when we were driving around but he had a spare engine block in the trunk.
He only had an after market muffler and some small engine mods to save gas.
That's one hell of a thing to be lugging around.
It probably managed to offset any gains he might have gotten from the engine mods and muffler.
Its so heavy that one of the doors is the weight of a cheap case. Really nice and room enough for a 5970 without taking out the drive bays.
I went from an Antec 1200 to a Define XL, one of the best decisions I've ever made. The build quality is just amazing and it's so much easier to work with.
This man is correct...it's his money, if he likes it, who are we to stop him?
Just get a HAF912 (Plus) or something, it's good all rounder for the cost and most people think it looks cool.
And I'd also recommend the Corsair Carbide 300R for its price and less flashy look.
I currently have the Corsair Carbide 500R White and love it. my system is running 10 degrees Celsius cooler than my shitty Antec 900.

500 > 912 > 300
Looks classy.
These are very nice, looks like a very ideal case for watercooling. Got to build a system for my work using that case, nice big spot for a radiator at the top and I think the front is designed to fit a rad as well. Lots of good spots for cable management too. One of the top engineers at the company specifically picked it to showcase some of their new hardware.
Corsair makes some of the best cases imo, but I bought a HAF X instead of the 800D instead because of how overpriced the 800D is

Ladies and gentlemen,
Allow me to present the king of all ricers:
More pics of this hideous case mod can be found here:

still want the NZXT Switch 810
Somebody scrape through CIPWTTKT and find the photoshoped rice cooker version of that image.
It's like the OIFY designed it.
I think multiple colored LEDs would only look good on a well planned out custom case build. I could think of a few cool ideas to give it a Shrooms/LSD mix. In fact at a local LAN one time this guy made a custom completely transparent case with mushrooms and other designs cut out all over to make it a really awesome unique piece of art. Then he had watercooling with blue translucent liquid and multiple colored cathodes that were discreetly placed. It was a really cool and unique case, I wish I had pictures.
This case is pretty good.
I'm planning on getting it later down the track.
That's why I stick with Lian Li
well built, and about as minimalist as it gets.
It's ridiculously bad at cooling though. I suggest the Fractal Design Define R3.
The R3 has a lower ambient temperature due to the better airflow over my old Xigmatek Asgard.
My 3.6Ghz Phenom II sits happily at 34 degrees C at idle. I honestly couldn't be happier with it.
Yeah I was suggested a Fractal Design R3, and I love it. Really nice case.
It's a fucking pachinko machine.![]()
What's so bad about the cooling on the shinobi?
well if you want a completely almost non-rice, get an antec 300. It's cheap, big, solid, looks good and has a paint texture that I find really cool.
What is this, 2007? You might aswell buy an 8800GT while you're at it.
OP just get a HAF912+
Your friends will think you're such a ~pro gamer~ and it's an all round good case.
I think that we might have scared off the OP guys.
