I did media at college, complete with software that was so badly coded it could slow an i7 down.

its new in GMod 13 I can't find the link to Garry's post, but yeah :)
When we will decide the next one?
Dropping out of this one. My past few blocks of instruction have been hectic as hell, and the next few won't be as different.
Added a kitchen, though it still needs more household appliances.
Needs a toaster as well as a wardrobe to Narnia.
Really nice, but isn't that a bit of a stout fridge? or is that the FOV stretching?
i might be able to arrange that
A blend tec blender?
It's not one fridge, the left one is a fridge and the right one is a freezer.
The rest of it looks good but the fridge/freezer combo doesn't look like much more than a cabinet.
Not anymore. Also added more stuff to the kitchen:
Also a panorama shot of the current lower floor:

that is just fantastic
Looks great! What did you use to make the panoramic picture?
The Photomerge function in Photoshop CS5.
or you could use a big value for FOV, like 120+
It would cause horrible stretching on the sides of the screen. Using panorama doesn't create any sideways stretching and only leads to a fish eye effect.
Source doesn't have any sort of fisheye field of view stuff for its view projection.
I'm out :(
Good luck guys!
ONE WEEK LEFT GUYS! those of you who are lazy and procrastinated, NOW would be a good time! :P
Nah, leave it 5 minutes before it ends.
Jukka that is absolutely fabulous.
Well...here is a challenge for all the procrastinators...make your maps in less than 7 hours (that's my best for a contest map)
Well I put off homework until the class is due then I do it in thirty seconds, so i should be good.
I'm gonna do the whole thing on the last day, for sure.
Im out.
Good luck.
well my partner is permad and we haven't talked in a while so i call that an out
I'm out, I lost the original .vmf...
I'm out due to getting a job and having nowhere near enough time to work on this.
So many dropping out...
Your pyramid scared them all off.
I think Jukkas apartment is more of a threat
Well, I don't know if I will be able to compete, but I'll make SOMETHING. I promise that much. Even if it's a fullbright box. Maybe I'll finish that thing I was working on in the first place.
Seems like everyone is after that shiny 20 pounds.
Even if the competition doesnt have a good finale the pictures are eye candy.
1 hour is my record.
Looks like I'm out. Unless by some miracle, I fix the errors I'm getting, and finish the map by next Monday. From what TopHATTWaffle says, my map is pretty much screwed.
Code:1:35 PM - Stiffy360: I have a serious compile issue 1:35 PM - Stiffy360: When I compile I get either one of these errors 1:35 PM - Stiffy360: A. Compiles fine but NO func_detail shows up. 1:36 PM - Stiffy360: B. Fails in vrad with the error Stack overflow in neighbors 1:36 PM - Stiffy360: Can't find any help 1:36 PM - Stiffy360: I have NO props 1:38 PM - TopHATTwaffle: dear lord 1:38 PM - TopHATTwaffle: what have you done? 1:38 PM - Stiffy360: My entire thing is brush based 1:38 PM - Stiffy360: Do you want a vmf? 1:38 PM - TopHATTwaffle: map is fucked
Use the cordon tool to segement off areas of your map, compile to find where the problem is.
The first thing I did. Odd thing is, when I cordon off certain segments it runs fine. My map has about four sections, each one works fine individually, but together, it creates problems.
I'm having some strange problems with my map too. For some reason vrad.exe fails every time I try to compile the map. So in case I can't find a solution to it and post newer screenshots, these are my finals:

Rad seems to love choking on those Hi-res lightmaps. *Sigh* Oh well. Part of my map works. So if All else fails, I'll post screenies of those on Monday.
