The specs of the pc that rendered the samaritan were huge. I believe it had 4 top end nvidia graphics cards...

Well, it's not as good as it could have been. It just handles moving liquids this one, coz i got pretty annoyed with the series of annoyances i had to deal with while recording.

It had two GTX 580 in sli.

So nothing huge.

It should have run on only one 580 if they had good optimization, but that is hard to have in the early days.

Why you would think it would need 4 is because of the other game developers no intentions to optimize the graphics that are on par with crysis 1.

Crysis 1 is not optimized, because "it takes to much time and money".

I meant that the engine used in crysis 2 was meant to do a ton of amazing things, whilst being more optimised that crysis, yet we lost most of the features because they made a console game, then ported it over to pc. It would be like spending money on a full suite of pc's, but only letting the kids use netbooks in a lesson.

This needs to be implemented into mods and games. The quality of Source animation is brilliant here, and would make everything look so much better (and get people to stop saying "SOURCE IS AN OUTDATED ENGINE LOLOLOL").
