Well, they look really similar then.
Well, they look really similar then.
I'd say redo it, perhaps add some more shading?
Coal is tricky because it has to be black. To do a good ore you have to go from really bright to dark if you want it to be shiny, but coal doesn't really do that, so it usually ends up being ugly.
Redo it.
Wow, we are actually making progress.
I luv' it.
Aren't those from 1.2 but wasn't added as a block?
A direct quote from Minecraft wiki:
I'm pretty sure they made them craftable in 1.2.4
Yeah, They did make them craftable in 1.2.4, But that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the texture Damian0358 claimed to make, The ones he claimed to make was actually the ones which were in the 1.2 terrain.png. So he didn't make them, He simply stole them from the old terrain.png and claimed them for him self.
Yeah, four sandstone makes one of them and two sandstone slabs makes another one.
The powder keg has been bothering me because it looks really plain. Anyone mind if I touch it up with some shading?
I can't do coal. It keeps coming out like shit.
Give us a preview and I'll tell you what I think.
Claiming diamond ore.
Okay i don't do texturepacks, however i was thinking that the pumpkin should have no face when it's not lit. It's not like you find a carved one all around.
I really like that torch design, good work!
Is it obvious that I'm using the glass texture's wooden bars for anything that is a wood stick?
I didn't notice until you pointed it out.
Did you ever finish Diamond Ore?
-snip- Nevermind, guys.
I can't make a good looking diamond ore so, just forget it I guess.
Way too solid, needs a lot more detail.
Yeah, please add some shading to that, notice the amount of noise in all other blocks, try to match that style.
Edited:
Finished workbench, packs looking good guys!

Claiming diamond ore.
Edited:
I don't think it looks that great, doesn't blend with the stone texture.
Edited:
If anybody wants, I can use the Diamond/Iron/Gold blocks from my texture pack.

Ore isn't bad, the blocks need more shading/noise to fit this pack.
The diamond should be redone imo, or atleast have the colors redone. It needs darker colors in there and better transition instead of random shades.
The diamond actually looks pretty nice as far as the gems themselves are concerned, but some shading in the stone itself should improve over-all aesthetics.
Really digging that diamond ore.
I am giving wool textures a try now.
Hold on.
Edited:
Nevermind, it sucked.
I'm gonna try doing the wood ones. Wish me luck!
I haven't done birch. And on second thought, maybe they should've been a tad less noisy, but you can be the judge of that.
God...
DAMNNN
that's some good wood.
The noise is fine and simulates the look of tree bark very nicely. Especially the jungle wood, that hint of green suggesting that it's from a wetter climate is a nice touch.
Birch should be less noisy though, since Birch bark tends to be much smoother than that of oak or pine.
That wood is beautiful. I'd punch that tree, no problem.
I can add the other ores, if anybody would like.
(Lapis looks shit, I'm going to redo it at some point)
I don't really like them at all, I'd give a shot at it but I don't have photoshop installed on this computer yet.
Make Coal rounder and make Iron have less colour variance
Also, can we claim mob skins yet? If so, I'm claiming zombies.
I'll give the mobspawner a try
Please don't make every ore have the exact same pattern just recolored. It looks really bad.
I think we're doing terrain, then items, then other shit.
