Absolutely do not get why they censor CD's lol
not like its the radio or something I mean that I can understand but on a CD it's just fucking stupid
Because CD's are Lucifer's tool of corruption.
Hey guys, Satan's influence on the kids of today isn't a laughing matter!
I wasn't joking fyi.
"Which is it bitch, Mrs Briggs or Ms Mathers? It doesn't matter...[...] faggot"
I remember being stupid enough to buy a Pantera CD from Wal-Mart a few years ago. It was censored and there was no indication of it being a clean version anywhere on the packaging.
Serves me right for buying music at Wal-Mart.
I find that Best Buy is the best place for buying physical music. They have a huge collection of CDs and a fair amount of vinyls. Their prices are also competitive with prices of music downloading services, generally being $10 or less an album.
Where I live there is only one dedicated record store within 45 minutes of me and their prices are ridiculous.
Who's gonna pay $18 for Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time?
wow that really really sucks.
Yeah, but the Best Buy makes up for it. They almost always have sales on older stuff, like $5 for Judas Priest's Painkiller or $7 for Black Sabbath and Paranoid together.
Best Buy worked great for me back when I was getting into rock and metal, always had all the big bands.
They've still got nice stuff there sometimes, but as my taste has gradually shifted around I've found that less and less of what I'm currently interested in can be found at big outlets like that. Now I just go to the local punk/indie record shop, seeing as you can't exactly find old grindcore 7"s at a place like Best Buy. Or even better yet, order stuff online (especially from smaller labels or even the bands' websites themselves in the case of less famous bands. I remember ordering an ACxDC album from their Bigcartel and the packaging had the vocalist's return address on it and all. Felt nice.)
That is really poo poo though to not have any good record shops nearby. :( Sounds like your Best Buy has a much nicer selection than the ones in Washington DC though, haha.
they don't really censor much on the radio here in norway
i mean, they got a japanese lady to say "i love horse cock" in norwegian, live on the radio as she was being randomly interviewed in the street
I wish I lived in Northern Europe, everything media-wise is so much more relaxed.
it's embarrassing when people swear on the internet BUT they censor it
WHY WOULD YOU EVEN "SWEAR" IF YOU'RE GOING TO CENSOR IT ANYWAY
f*cking bleeping h*ll!!!
I Don't Know But It's Just As Bad As People Who Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word For No Reason.
WHY DO IT
"Death Grips is not hip hop because you can't understand what he's saying" says an apparent golden-age hip hop fan.
A couple of my friends have their music chosen for them by the Capital Radio playlist, it's unbearable.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are uncreatieve.
Slap that person please.
inclined to agree, but haven't listened to a whole lot of their recent stuff
Wouldnt say overrated but overpraised
Their fanbase definitely exaggerates how amazingly creative and original etc they are
I've rarely heard anything about their creativity, imo they're just a rock band with their own style. I like them quite a bit but I don't praise them for innovating or anything, and I know they're not amazing but yeah I like them
I'm not too sure why people care though. It's just one band, and I've not come across the kind who overreact to their music. I actually like their music.
"what you call the Avant-Garde is really just pretentious shit made so people like you will buy it to feel superior, no-one actually likes this"
"Tool hates their fans because they talk about how their music is deep but they really don't know why it is deep. I'm a true Tool fan so I know why it is deep."
just leave out the last 7 words and it's a much more accurate statement
