I always thought that it was silly of Apple to keep on increasing the power of their GPU, especially as of late. Their iPhone 4S basically got a boost in GPU over the 4, the new iPad got a boost in the GPU but not the CPU, and I'm gonna assume that the iPhone 5 is going to do the same thing and get the A5X chip like the new iPad.

I've always criticized Apple for not having a native maps application. Yeah Google Maps works okay, but if you're driving, it can get buggy and you're essentially just following a blue dot around. Is this focus on the increase in GPU focused on having a native iMaps application when iOS 6 comes out? Will this be an iPhone 5 exclusive or can the 4 and 4S run it? So many questions especially when I'm in the market for a phone right now.

iPhone 5 will run CryEngine 3. On a more serious note, iOS doesn't use much CPU, especially by ditching flash. I think the decrease in people buying psps and ds's has apple focusing more on the gaming sector, which focuses more on the gpu than the cpu. Like you said, they could be planning to use it for something cool in iOS 6

Genuinely amazed. Of course it's been possible for a very long time, but I am impressed that it's been done. Incredible!
