That ending is hilarious. Inception would be mindblowing if it wasn't so well known, but everyone knows it already. The first time I saw it my mind was blown though.

I do not know if you're serious, but I personally thought that the ending was funny because I had previously read the short story and knew where it was going up until he kills everyone, including his son. Then the military came and I thought it was so horrible and brilliant at the same time, I laughed.What.

i'll admit i didn't understand the movie just like that. i'm fairly certain i had to ponder a few things but i did eventually get it completely after the first viewing.

Also I know that since it's technically anime Facepunch will eat my liver, but The End of Evangelion is quite something. You have to watch the series first (which is pretty mindblowing in its own right) but damn.

i mean they explain it in the movie, it's not a great leap.
the bacteria/fungus/whatever collected there as a result of just being inside the machine because that it would have taken like 5 days or something like that for that amount to accumulate. thus the giant leap. they put the watch in and discover time is not the same inside the box as it is on the outside while it's running

If you rewatch the original scene where Abe supposedly shows Aaron the time machine for the first time, Aaron is subtly steering the conversation because he's already come back using the failsafe machine. He's afraid that minor changes in his behavior will result in the future occurring differently - he's hedging his bets to make sure that his information about the future is still valid. He got the calculation quickly because he had already performed it and is doing it from memory - Abe even points it out. Afterward when he's playing with the basketball, Aaron says "we can really publish" and Abe says something like "I never said anything". Aaron is really trying hard to steer events his way.
The fungus is another layer in his plan. The technician outright tells us that it's a joke, because it was a joke. Aaron put the fungus on the weeble so that Abe would have a plausible excuse to tell Aaron. It's clearly not actually the result of cycling back and forth all the time because otherwise the rest of the inside of the box would be coated with fungus as well.

there's just something so magical about watching this movie even if you don't pay attention.
that was my second viewing, i got really high and watched it for ambiance

i don't like how tron legacy is on that list because the only good part about it is olivia wilde.
jeff bridges really isn't, i dunno why, as much as i love the guy he didn't bring much to the movie.

hard candy (give it a chance, i know its a little slow)

Everything got too weird too fast, loads of new stuff suddenly popping up with little to no explanation. And in the end you're just left wondering what just happened.
I was really disappointed with it.

juno is a complete bitch and possibly a serial killer, nite owl is a pedo, who the fuck can i relate to?

The first one was just a remake of the first, I dunno, 5 or 6 episodes with a couple new scenes
2.0 veers completely away from the original plot, It's my kind of Evangelion, I love it
3.0 coming out sooooon
Also in relation to EoE I think you're being unfair
ofc I'm biased because Evangelion is without a doubt my favourite thing, but the first half the movie was great.

it really made me like daydream in blue again by i monster even after lupe fiasco murdered it as he does with all songs he rips off.
well that's the remix to the old song, but it's a lot better than the old song.
and mr nobody is equivalent to eternal sunshine of the spotless mind in my book. and that's pgod damn high.
