Honestly beating this would have been near impossible without Regening health. The reason is that the Mosin Nagant kills you in two shots, and it becomes more common the farther you get in the game. Plus most roof snipers spawn once you get "in range" and they already are in alert mode looking for you. Even if you hide behind cover and edge yourself out, there is a good chance they get the first shot off first because AI lol. Shit, I once edged out of cover so I could just see a sniper's arm. I got shot, which threw off my aim and the shot again before I was even finished flinching in pain, killing me.

Is it possible not getting hit? Yeah but it is really difficult and requires memorizing where everything spawns, which takes away some of the satisfaction IMO.

Frankly I think they should have made the levels far less linear, but i'm enjoying it.

Best part of the game is the section where you need to destroy the tank patrolling at the soviet HQ. There were shitloads of ruined buildings to sneak through.

No, putting the player in tight situations with respawning enemies and snipers popping out of nowhere is what really takes out the satisfaction, i feel more like rambo with a sniper rifle while playing this instead of an infiltrated sniper. Sneaked throughout the whole level ? fuck you! have a wave of respawning germans!

Health regen is there to make the design easier, they don't have to worry about players dying to super-accurate russians with PPSh's when you can simply dive in and out of cover in those tight, linear as fuck maps to slowly take em out.

The game is fun but not at all what i expected, i wish you had the choice to tune the bullet drop too, it's what bothers me the most.

It is a very enjoyable feeling when you get 5 headshots with 5 rounds using the Springfield on Realistic ballistics with no aid.

How the hell do you get 124 585 points on Mittelwork Facility?
I spent hours and the best I got was 2nd place with 76 045 points, which is a little over half of the leading score... God damn you TheBearJew85032!

Another one is on the Kaiser-Friedrich Museum mission. My best score is 83 395, 1st place is 103 520 :V

You could just try incapacitating soldiers and let them get healed by team mates.

So me and my brother just spent 40 minutes playing the second co-op mission and were pretty nicely stealthing around taking down everyone slowly until we realised that the room we were piling bodies in was where the enemies were re spawning?

I shot a guy in the face who couldn't have possibly gotten past us into the room only to see a guy appear directly next to him. How the fuck are we supposed to stealth these missions

I picked this up. It's so much fun...

I shot a guy in the eyeball and watched it tear apart. So wonderfully gruesome.

Is there anything that triggers x-rays shots versus normal shots? More points or what?

Bullet graces the jaw, enemy killed.

I think the enemies are too squishy, but their aim is ridiculous.

They get me with SMG's when I'm a half kilometer away from them.

If it isn't the heat, I had issues with my card getting overwhelmed too. Update your drivers to the newest version; I did and it runs on the highest settings and has yet to crash at all.

There's ONE driver I missed, and I'll try updating to it... But, when it crashes it does like.. Pixelated squares on the screen and that's that. I have to restart. Is that overheating?

Me and Hattiwatti were playing Coop campaign just then on the museum level, detonated the charges on the bridge. The animation played, the troops jumped through the air in slow motion, a small secondary explosion appeared on the other side of the bridge, but no main explosion animation. Was rather funny until we were told we let the soldiers get to the other side of the bridge...

Was there a fix out there for the stuttering in firefights issue? I've got a GTX 570 running at 1080 maxed usually at a fluid 40+ fps (haven't benchmarked, but it feels very smooth) and if enemies start shooting it gets very choppy.

There was a SPUF thread where somebody said that they were working on a patch. Probably be out in a couple days.

Sniper ghost warrior 2 is probably the closet you'll get for awhile. I'd imagine a modern version would be much easier considering what we have for stealth now. And if they make a V3 it's probably going to be in the cold war.

This is one of the buggiest games I have ever played. There are graphical glitches everywhere; the AI moves incredibly jerkily making it hard to hit them; once in co-op my friend loaded a different level to me causing him to end up in the floor; in the kill tally gamemode a wave can end with multiple enemies still alive; also in kill tally spawn locations are stupid as fuck allowing you to camp them and kill everyone; the kill cam can sometimes show a bullet hit nothing; the kill cam can get stuck behind walls; there are horrendous lag spikes; we had to play a story mission 3 times over and it still would not allow us to progress; I could go on but I'm tired.

    Game is still extremely fun.

The ones that are indicated by a large goddamn "HEY MAN CONCEALING SOUNDS ARE BEING PLAYED" animated HUD thing on the top right corner
Also your silenced pistol is like, james-bond-silenced. Shot a guy three feet away from the other, didn't notice anything, shot the other one.

Bahahaha I found out that you can shoot the front of the truck behind Wolff, and at the right angle it will bounce off the truck, and tumble into Wolff for the kill. I just did it on accident and it was glorious. I'll record it if i can get it again.
