So I won this Mac Pro desktop in a drawing for $25...yes only $25 USD. It's a 2008 model.

It has a Xeon Quad Core, 4GB RAM, and Nvidia GForce 7300x2 (no SLI)

At first I was thinking it would kick ass to have a mac by my PC....but my PC can do everything the mac can, it's an i7 with 16GB and EVGA 570 x2.

So what should I use my Mac Pro for? Anything out of the ordinary I could do to it to make it useful?

I can't think of anything off my head, people generally use Macs for the nicer experience than Windows. But there are some Mac only video and music editing apps which you may find useful

Damn, I wish I was that lucky. Family probably couldn't afford a $2k Mac Pro no matter how much we need it right now.

I'd say either sell it or make it into a server. They're usually used by film makers or other 64 bit tasks that take a pretty big haul, so unless you do something along those lines I can't think of a way to make it super useful.

wow only $25! the 2008 model is a bit useless in my eyes considering its pretty out dated by now and it uses ddr2 and damn its expensive to upgrade the ram on those machines you could probably get around $800 on ebay

Do you have a laptop? if not just save it and whenever you need something portable you can just use that. In the mean time why don't you set it up next to your desktop and use it to run videos (netflix/youtube.etc) or documents for reading.
