omni tool universal translator
Omni-tools have an auto-translator built in.
Bit of a cheap explanation but eh, better then having to read subtitles I guess.
So what about creatures that don't have omni-tools - let's say a hanar or a poor vorcha - how do they understand Shepard?
Space Magic and Mass Effect fields
On a more serious note, Implants perhaps
Who the fuck taught this person anatomy. Deviantart is a breeding ground for terrible art practices.
I loved Freespace 2 because it had aliens speaking their own language with a unique sound and rhythm which then got dubbed over by a rough machine translation, made the game much more immersive than english spoken with an alien 'accent'.
I don't even they've thought of an explanation for that, but I'm ok with that.
They have a trade language (i think).
I think the hanar have implants since they can't even produce audible speech without them. Vorcha are just Vorcha, they don't adapt modern technology for fear of tricks.
Omni tools are like they equivalent of the telephone in ME. They are computers, flashlights, cameras, translators, swords for some reason, and whatever else you want a holographic arm computer to be. I mean telephone as in if you don't have one then you probably aren't encountering many aliens/ cant count to 9.

I mean just look at it. I shelled out £60 for the collector's edition and this blatant rubbish even has EA's shitgoblin logo stamped on it. It's like someone over there hates me.
And this happens the same day Origin disappears from my list of Steam shortcuts.
I'm confused. Why would an EA game NOT have the EA logo on it?
Holy dicks I'm late
I'm pretty sure he was talking about the second image that seems to sometimes not load. The one where it says he didn't buy the game when Origin clearly says he did.
That's not the point. For your benefit:
Picture 1: I own the N7 Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3.
Picture 2: EA disagrees and thinks I'm either a new purchaser or that I didn't buy Mass Effect 3 at all despite the fact that I launched it from Origin as I have done since it came out in March.
This is just more bullshit I've had to put up with from EA on top of constantly losing connection to servers or not being able to join them at all.
Does anyone have noticed the Pillar of Autumn making a brief appearance in the background during Mass Effect 2 suicide mission?
Well we're mining asteroids by 2020 so we're on track to mine Charon.![]()
SAY WHAT??
I must find it
Waiwhawhatthefuck?!
Edited:
Watcha know.
Gotta love game devs making easter eggs of other games
Just looks like a smudge, But yeah, i could see that being Pillar of Autumn
Hold the fucking phone
The Forunners were early Protheans and the Flood was a bioweapon created by The Reapers (Flood are mentioned to be from outside the galaxy in one of the novels, i know this shit)
Halo and the other installations were prototype Crucibles or using the same tech
Javik said that the galaxy was united under a strong Prothean rule in his cycle
Several spicies united in a civilization = Covenant
Grunt = Volus
Engineer = Hanar
Elite = Turian
MY GOD
Parts of Mass Effect were inspired by Halo, yes, but engineers actually inspired the keepers and not Hanar.
Don't know 'bout the others, but the Forerunners and the Protheans have p. much identical architecture. Elder races is however a fiction stereotype.
Y inspired by B is nothing new, hell, half the design of Halo CE were near-carbon copy of Aliens.
I just never made the connection before. Don't know why. I already know way to much about both series
Isn't Mass Effect 1 filled to the brim with Halo references though?
I wonder if it was just a sprite or could it be possible to dig up the PoA's model from ME2's code.
Edited:
Do tell
But isn't that section prerendered though, So there would be no need to have it in the actual released game
Ok EA, what the shit. Unable to authorize listed DLC: From Ashes; so I can't play. AAARGH.
I think it's probably a server issue, when I launch the game it tells me to log in with the account that owns From Ashes but all I have to do is click "downloadable content" and see that I'm on that account. It makes my saves unusable so I'm kind of pissed right now.
Bugger
Go onto the DLC, click check for updates and then run the game. It should work.
It's scary how close to plausible this is.
Javik is starting in an hour, for now playing Skyrim to warm up.

ME3 for 30 bucs on all platform today only!
Thank you very much!
Pretty damn good deal, though EA seems to be getting pretty good about slashing the prices of games about a month and a half after they release.
Might be a response to the sales figures though; as of a week and a half ago the game has "only" sold 1.5 million units worldwide.
Later today, I'll post pictures of my N7 Hoody that finally arrived here (after a lot of legal loopholes).
Anybody figure out what the hell the point of the second barrel on almost all the guns is?
