holy sheet udyr is strong as fuck for solotop. i raped this hecarim who fed me 7 kills in 10 minutes and i had glorious free farm and their mundo never ganked cus he knew i would kill both of them. then team fights happened and my final score was 12/0. this game is too much fun sometimes, i also feel as if normals arent really challenging anymore....

Yes he can be kited, but most other solo tops are melee aswell, so.

Not denying that Udyr is stronk early game (and he actually has quite good scaling onto late game,) but if you are up against someone with sustain add opposed to mobility the lane must suck.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Someone with sustain and mobility? Or sustain as opposed to mobility (so, sustain and no mobility?)
Anyway I rarely lose lane as udyr.
Nasus beats you up though. He gets armor, and with that damned wither... If he withers you and their jungler pops up it's hard to get out.

Yea, vlad or yorick would dominate udyr, not to mention olaf or ww, cho gath would be difficult to win lane against as well.
So is it me or does ranked actaully have worse players at the low elo than in draft or normals? I was doing jax jungle, so my leash is obviously very important to be successful as the first few levels jax eats through mana and doesnt have much sustain. Well the enemy team invades my blue, and one of our dudes gaurding it gives first blood, so we all invade their blue. Everything is going great, amazing leash so I think it will be ok... Our morgana on the team keeps attacking it and steals the blue. This was a deliberate steal as the golem is extremely low health and she throws her draining aoe under it. So I call morgana out and the dude says nothing but goes back to mid and all of them go to their lanes and start laning, so I have no leash and low mana from attacking the enemy blue with no regen from it since blue was stolen. I try to keep up but I have to attack weak jungle creeps to get up to proper lvl and end up dying to red without the blue buff. I decide to suck it up and keep jungling...only to watch my graves steal the respawned blue and then attack wolves..and then wraiths. Then they start bitching at me that I wasn't ganking and I was useless.
All of my fucking rage.

That and hecarim isn't even a good solo top is of course udyr is gonna rape him

Udyr beats Vlad and Cho, evens out against Yorick (cant kill each other) and it can go either way with Olaf and WW
Udyr has amazing sustain along with a massive amount of magic damage from Tiger, you can't just stack armour or mr against him which is why a ton of solotops don't beat him

I don't play udyr so I don't really know. It just seems to me that his bear stun is really important for securing kills and with a good escape mechanism counter that. Obviously you know more about udyr than me though.

I don't think Jax is a very strong top laner and I've only ever seen him there like 3 times so I wouldn't really know
but just taking a guess I'd say he absolutely crushes him because Tiger and Bear have a much much lower CD than his dodge and that's the only way he'll live

I ask because I play Jax and my experience is that I bork udyrs generally, but I have no baseline for their skill level.

jax is incredibly strong toplane for one reason and one reason only
he can completely ignore all physical attacks for a few seconds, and then stun. he also does magic damage and most solo tops are retards who will continue to only build armor

Also I should tell you, Jax cannot dodge bear stance's stun. The attack itself is dodged but the stun is not an on hit effect.

Ontop of this Jax's counter strike has a 20 second cd and Udyr can use all his abilities 3-4 times in that amount of time

his goddamn heal needs to be nerfed or something

It would be nice if past 30 minutes you weren't nearly useless because all of your scaling is in a 5 second cd onhit ability that you can never use because you always need to be in bear/turtle to catch people and live

But Lux IS a support and Warwick IS a jungler.
Lux can also be played mid and Warwick can also be played top.
