For some weird reason, when i start up my computer, it comes on for about 1 second and then switches itself off, and after about 4 seconds, it swiches itself back on for 1 second, shuts down, and it goes on and on in an endless loop until i disconnect the power, is it a problem with my power supply?

    Help!

It might be your power supply, but it might also be any recent changes you've made to your computer. Have you used any new software or hardware, maybe drivers?
It may also help if you could post your specs as well.

I have not installed any software or drivers recently, but i did a new power supply about 6 months ago.
Btw, im not too familiar with hardware so i cannot tell you my specs, and i cannot access my computer to find out

Can you access the BIOS? It should say setup or something on the bottom right.

And has this problem happened just recently?

Yeah, it just started this morning, and it is not on long enough for the screen to respond

    Well, that's a tad mysterious.
Did anything at all odd happen the last time it worked, like your anti virus going off or a Blue Screen etc?

Well, if that is the case, that PSU must have started dying on you, i think you should run some checks on your PC as well, just in case.

Sounds like CPU power cable was unplugged/loose.

At where i work (IT technician) it solely happens when a harddrive is about to die.
It loads for a bit, but then shutdown and restarts.
It might even load all the way and work fine for a few hours till it fails again.

    I'd recommend a disk check.
