When the bullets come back they are slowed by the air resistance and they might just come down on the side and not nose pointing.

Anyway I woundt try it

Just to ease the minds of people saying it is dangerous, think how high the shots fly. First they will be slowed by air and also they will be blown very far off course by wind and the bullet-spin (caused by the threading in the barrel)

For one: Mythbusters isn't exactly incredibly scientific. Second of all, their experiment showed that it was indeed lethal.

Well for one, wind blowing the bullet doesn't necessarily mean it's going to blow it away from anywhere, it's not like they were aiming at something on purpose. Also, bullet spin stabilizes the bullet, making it go straighter, hence the reason rifling was introduced in the first place.

Also, bullets shot in the air still have the potential to kill when they land.

As said, they actually proved they were lethal, but it was conditional. They busted it, yes, but only if the gun was fired in a perfect vertical line.
