Have you tried to create a new profile from the main menu of Arma? Not sure if it works that way.

Heal others. IE; Blood packs, Pain meds, Morphine, and E-pens. Also it regens over time a small amount.

God dammmit. I'm in a forest, just trekking looking for a town to scavenge in, suddenly I hear shooting, press Z immediately.
Then a fucking chopper crashlands by the bush I'm hiding in, and a tank comes by, I hear more shooting, kill the gunner on the tank, and try to run for my life. The chopper (that rolled down the hill) is my target, Nope. More shooting.
I run to the tank, desperately looking for a way to live and bam, I'm dead.

I already have ARMA II that I got for free from that GreenManGaming special a few months back, can I just get Arrowhead from Steam and have that work? when I was Googling I found some people who said they were getting errors when launching DayZ in anything other than Combined Ops...

I'm just going to go hide in the most remote forest in Chernarus and never come out.

Survived 7 hours so far, it's not too hard once you get some decent kit.
Also if you get 'Waiting for server response' try change server, that seems to fix it most of the time.

Humanity increases patheticly fast. One hour ingame and you have 1k humanity back and contacting the devs wont help.. My email is waiting since 3 days :( Lost my fully equipped char with tents m249 + 700 ammo just all the shit you can find even those rare pipebomb bags by a stupid bug in the menu which killed me, but oh well its just an alpha, but after that happening I somewhat stopped playing since all I have now is an lee enfield with almost no food or equipment.

What kind of tank was it? was it a battle tank or something like a BMP?

If you get to zero your player model changes to a bandit model and everyone tends shoots you on sight (not that they don't already do that to an extent) Humanity lowers when you shoot people or murder people and it increases when you heal people, it also regenerates.

I can't imagine the sort of clusterfuck that would occur as the result of a bunch of bandits running around in a tank.

Wait, if there are tanks does that mean we might get some AT weapons at our disposal? Because fighting them with small arms does not seem to be ideal.

Yeah, that makes sense. There haven't been any major updates as of late, and I seriously doubt the devs just "snuck" thanks into the game.

Damn, if only there was some kind of flashlight or a map of some kind, because this infinite darkness and desorientation makes the game confusing and boring. :(
Checked the button assignment, no such thing as flashlight or anything, only thing I found was "nightvision" but that didn't even do anything.

People really need to know about the game itself. They don't seem to know what this game have else to offer than DayZ
There are so many features, items and such there are in-game (which is included in DayZ) that people don't know anything about because they haven't really focused on them yet.

Killing bandits decreases your humanity by a little bit. Every 15 mins of gameplay you gain some humanity and healing others increase humanity.

You press nightvision when you have nightvision goggles and you press L for flashlight when you have a flashlight mounted on your gun (G17, Remington ect.) Try actually playing the base game instead of just dayz. Trust me it helps.

Oh, I was on the tank server. Didn't see it myself.
There was a lot of bitching on that server how the buildings weren't all enterable and that the mod glitches by some guy.

It's a good game, but the fact that it's almost impossible to play it has pissed me off.

Not sure but i was messing around with the winchester in the armory, when i got the hunting challenge. Zombies spawned with the animals I was intended to hunt and i could collect them too

I'm about to give up trying to play this. Every time I try to join a server I either get the Memory error or it says that CBA is not allowed even though it's one of the addons the server(s) uses!

Is the majority of DayZ players on Steam or non-steam?
Kinda trying to decide whether to buy ARMA 2: CO on Steam or through Sprocket since reading through the armaholic forums, most people seem to not recommend it on Steam due to potential problems
